ONE LOVE LUXURY LOUNGE BY GBK PRODUCTIONS & PRIMARY WAVE MUSIC PARTY HONORING THE 2020 GRAMMY AWARDS

This joint gifting lounge and pre-Grammys soiree was really happening! How fun it was to go between hanging-out at the outdoor party and being inside in the private gifting room, and then back again, all evening.

This gifting-and-partying combo took place at the new-ish One Hotel in West Hollywood the night before the Grammys. I was glad to finally have an excuse to check it out, after watching it being built for all this time.

My contributing writer on this one, Denise, said, “This hybrid pre-Grammys  party/gifting lounge from GBK and Primary Wave Music was an eclectic mix and mingle of ages and genres.  They did a fantastic job of transforming the 1 Hotel on Sunset Boulevard into the ‘One Love Hotel’ for the night. And the GBK gift lounge had quite the array of interesting products.”

Before I tell you anything else, I must share the absolute most exciting part of the night for me. Ready? I met…Shawn Mendes!!!! And let me tell you that he is as adorbs in person as I assumed he’d be! Here he was, on the eve of the Grammys, (for which he was nominated,) just standing around at this party by himself, looking at his phone! In silk and pearls, no less. I rarely talk to strangers, especially famous ones, but I just had to tell him how much I love his music, to which he perked right up. I was thrilled!

I saw CeeLo Green throughout the event, as well, who also visited the GBK lounge. But mainly, Denise and I spent most of the time speaking with the sponsors of the event, who were all very chatty that evening. I guess a party brings out the sociability of everyone.

Here are the highlights of what the guests received:

Keracell CBD—This CBD-infused skincare line, (which Denise says “offers a plethora of great products,”) gifted their Sleeping Beauty Overnight Mask. The company is run by three women—one very attractive younger one along with her mother and…stepmother! How interesting is that?!  The mask is said to deliver deep night repair, and Denise added that it does that “all the while smelling of fresh roses.” She added, “If this cream can remotely help my skin look like that of the good-looking owner of the company, I’m sold!” www.keracell.com

La Voix Winery—This lovely and informative sponsor was gifting a choice of the Santa Barbara winery’s Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Denise tell us, “Their wine is a symphonic blend of wine and music, infused with care in every bottle.  The bottles themselves rock–each has a story to tell, from the artwork on the label to the actual title of each flavor.” For example, one of their Pinot Noirs has the moniker “Rebel, Rebel,” based on a David Bowie song. What a perfect gift for a music biz-related event! www.lavoixwinery.com

PFB Vanish Skincare—I had met this helpful company before, and was happy to see them again, this time rocking one of the best displays I’ve ever seen in a gifting lounge! This time, they were gifting a duo of their skin-improving products–Exfoliating Face and Body Scrub, and Skin Brightening and Dark Spot Correcting Cream. Their founder, (who’s stepping down soon, leaving his gorgeous young daughter to take over, which future male GBK guests will be very happy about,) gave us the entire lowdown on them. Denise was especially keen to try the product combo, quipping, “They should keep me looking thirty-seven for a very long time!” (I was going for twenty-five—you’ve got to think big in this town!) www.pfbvanish.com

Harborside—This Orange Country cannabis shop gave every guest a cute little pouch that contained a CBD-infused topical salve along with a CBD transdermal patch for pain relief. I’m sure everyone was happy to use both of them after that night of hearty partying! www.shopharborside.com

CannaCard—This company handed-out gift cards for a service that I had never even considered before! Denise spoke to the rep at length, and explains that the card’s purpose is “to provide consumers and retailers with a convenient way to benefit from increased safety and convenience through cashless purchases within the legal cannabis industry.” My, how the world has changed since the days of slipping someone a Hamilton, and receiving some weed in a brown paper bag! www.thecannacard.com

OctoVie—This company from Massachusetts was gifting each guest a mini skincare tool that’s said to cleanse, exfoliate, and massage in one motion. And it’s the perfect size to travel with, (which this owner did, all the way from Massachusetts!) www.octovieskinbrush.com

And that’s a wrap for my Grammys coverage! Now I look forward to telling you about all the Oscars events beginning next week. Right after my Superbowl review, of course. (How fast is this year going, right?!  It will be Spring before we know it!)
