MY 2,600TH INAM COLUMN!
Even I’m shocked by this accomplishment, (writing 2,600 columns!,) especially because my computer went down at the beginning of June. I was worried about how I was going to be able to run this e-zine, ItsNotAboutMe.TV, from Mr. X’s laptop, which I don’t even get that much access to. As hard as it is for him to share his computer, it was even worse for me to live without my own desktop one for that many months.
What a perfect pic for my 2,600th column for this e-zine, in conjunctune with my tale of computer woes!
I’m sorry to say this to you people who rely solely on a laptop, but I feel like my writing isn’t real until I get it sorted-out on my big desktop. I more often than not do most of my work on that one, but I have to admit that when I watch sports, I do start some articles on a laptop so I can sit in front of the TV doing so. But my own laptop broke-down during the pandemic. Mr. X bought me a new one, (a pretty pink one, to boot!,) for my birthday last year, but I made him return it because I feel that he’s the one who deserves the new one, and I’ll take his old one, since I don’t use it that often. We never got around to that little errand, though, so we make do with what we have.
And then came that fateful day that my desktop totally stopped working. It took six months to get my new desktop, which was quite the ordeal. If you’re curious as to why, it was because we had to special order one with extra storage to accommodate INAM! (Who knew?!) And then when it finally came in, it was…a lemon! I spent sooooo many hours working with Apple trying to get it working, with no luck. So we had to go through the entire torturous process all over again. That was about three months ago, and it’s still not right!
Happy 2,600 to me!
OMG—I had zero plans of telling you any of that! Especially during my celebration of my 2,600th column!
So back to that topic. I’m actually pretty proud of myself for reaching this milestone. I only hope that you all have found my articles to be either entertaining or informative, or best yet, both!
Now I have to be done with this one because it’s on to the next thou for me!
