500TH COLUMN!

I don’t even have anything special to say about this milestone, but it’s special enough in and of itself, so I felt I had to acknowledge it.

Yes, I’m one of those girls who takes note of a bunch of dates no one else would: month and year anniversaries with friends, how long since I went certain places, dates of everything I’ve done, anniversaries of meeting Mr. X, becoming friends with him, having him like me a little, seeing him, moving in together…well, you get the idea.

So, of course I have to celebrate each little achievement. And five hundred columns is a heck of a lot of writing!

Also, I like challenging myself to find appropriate pictures for each new “hundred” column. I hit the jackpot this time, narrowing the choices down to two finalists, which were of the five hundred columns at the city entrance to Jerash, and the same number at the Al-Mansur haram. (Like I have any idea what those two places are!) The winner is the former because I ascertained it’s in Jordan, and that’s my go-to Jeopardy answer for any one I don’t know. (And I’m actually correct with it occasionally!)

Anyway, that’s it; I can’t spend any more time lauding the past five hundred; I have to get started on the next hundred!
