[Note: I made it to six pre-Oscars Gifting Suites this year. As always, each one gets its own write-up. This is the second of them, so please make sure to check back every day this week to learn about all the fabulous-ness.]

This sophomore suite has sure come a long way in a year! Props to publicist Charmaine Blake for a successful event.

The setting was beautiful. It was held in a secret private room off the pool area at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. Even I, who used to be a regular at Asia de Cuba and Sky Bar, had no idea this area was there!

This Ultra Gold Suite featured some innovative products. The first two below were ones I had never even imagined existed, and the third one is pretty interesting, as well.

So, let’s get to them already, paying special attention to the first three items:

iRing USA—This is the best thing to happen to smartphones in quite awhile! It’s a small removable hook that you attach to the back of your phone, (any brand cell phone with a flat back,) and it acts as a “kickstand.” I had gotten Mr. X a whole iPhone cover last year for the same purpose, but when he moved up to the 6 model, it was already obsolete! The iRing is forever because you just remove it whenever you want, and re-attach it on the same whims. And it doesn’t even leave a mark! I love their tagline, too: “If you love your smartphone, put an ‘iRing’ on it!”

Swiss Smile—Their d’Or tooth gel is infused with…23.75 carat gold dust! So, you know that when I use it, I’ll be smiling a lot! It will make my teeth be like another piece of jewelry! Who needs a grill when you’re using this substance?! Joking aside, it’s touted to have a lot of health benefits, which is the best kind of gift to receive. And paired in a set with a gold-plated, black-bristled, ultra-soft toothbrush, this set is a winner!

Sarrela—This hair care tools company was gifting brushes that they said actually help keep your hair clean in-between washes. That will be a miracle! I wish all those females I always complain about having dirty hair on awards shows would use them!

Samira Jewelry—This jewelry designer was gifting thick hoop earrings. I think everyone was coveting her big drop necklaces, though. Something to look forward to next time!

Sports Massage Extreme—Massage therapist Art San was gifting certificates for a forty-five minute massage in downtown LA. After all this gift collecting, I’m sure all of the guests are really looking forward to using this one the most!

OM Botanical—This all-natural skincare line was gifting their eye serum, which contains whole botanical extracts. And it’s all made in the good old USA!

The suite also featured tee-shirts from Vici and Leontine; make-up, hair, and skin care samples from several companies; clean water demos; and some sweet treats from Triple J’s Sweets and Hansen’s Cakes.

As I left I noticed my favorite item in a corner, all by its lonesome: a coffee table whose top was covered in all old baseball cards! If designer Case Williams they gifted those, I’d be first in line!
