LOS ANGELES WESTSIDE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL 2018

I’ve always been a Westside girl, and a major foodie, so this Westside food festival is right up my alley! And I hope yours, as well, because I’m expecting it to be tons of fun. (And it includes wine for you oenophiles, too, along with beer, and spirits.)

I missed the inaugural Los Angeles Westside Food & Wine Festival last year, so I’m extra excited for this one, which takes place this Sunday, October 14th. All the details are below, but the basics are that the location is the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Westside in Culver City, and the price of admission allows you to eat and drink all you want for the day. Or at least from 4-7PM, with a 3PM start (and free parking) for VIP admissions.

It’s put on by event planner, Todd Elliot–hence, this should be a great event! Making it even better is that it’s all for a great cause; the proceeds benefit the Westside Food Bank, whose mission is to “end hunger in our communities by providing access to free nutritious food through food acquisition and distribution, and by engaging the community and advocating for a strong food assistance network.” What could be more important than all that?!

I’ll tell you about some of the food purveyors in a moment, but I want to first let you know that this will be a fun day for the whole fam. (The kids just cannot be in the alcohol area.) In addition to all the comely comestibles and potent potables, there will be lots of entertainment along the way. We’ll be serenaded by live music and a DJ, we can bid on the silent auction items, and if you don’t want to purchase anything in the auction, no worries—you’ll also get a chance at the giveaways. And I can’t wait to see what I assume will be my personal favorite activity that day–strolling magicians!

But I’m sure that the food tastings will be the main attraction for most, so here are just some of the restaurants, caterers, and food trucks that will be participating at the Festival:  Fresh Brothers, who did the delish salads for my last birthday party, will be serving their clamored-for pizzas; GoGo SqueeZ will be offering their convenient, tasty, and healthful applesauce pouches, (which means you should definitely bring the kids!,); and the Marriott Hotel itself will be showcasing some of its famous catering, which I’ve actually taken part in many a time.

I also look forward to discovering many other eateries, including Panini Kabob Grill, Stonefire Grill, Benny’s Tacos, Down South Sweets Catering, Red Shoe Cakes, Sweet Tooth Confections, and especially Di Stefano Burrata Cheese, my fave dairy product!!!

The list of beverages is also extensive, and you can find that, and so much more, on the Los Angeles Westside Food & Wine Festival’s website below.

I hope to see all of my SoCal readers there. And please come up and say hi. Just not when I have a mouthful of burrata!
