PLAN “A” BABY
[BTW–I think this event is entitled “Plan {the letter A} Baby,” not “plan a baby”–at least I hope so because I, personally, am planning on NO babies!]
Anyway, I just want to let the new moms out there know about an event on Sunday at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel that I think will be fun.
The press release describes it thusly: “Plan A Baby is an exclusive, one-day event to celebrate and pamper new and expectant moms as they browse through a carefully chosen collection of the latest in high-end baby products, services and educational materials for the modern mom.”
My friend Amanda Hazel's 12-lb. 1 oz. son, Marcus! Whew, that must've hurt!
I’m familiar with many of these products (thanks to the marvelous kid-and-baby-oriented Boom Boom Room gifting suites) and some are so special that they make me almost want to have kids! But then I realize that I could use them, especially ones like adorable tiny easy chairs, for Clarence, my precious little nine-pound toy poodle.
In addition to just being a good pal who’s looking for gifts for all my friends with, or about to have, babies, I’ll be attending because they’re also featuring spa treatments, snacks, and goodie bags–perfect fun for Auntie Karen!
The main thing you all need to know about this event is that if you see me there, looking a little chubby, please don’t ask me when the baby’s due! Chances are, I just came from reviewing an all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch!!!
