I’m so excited that next week brings us Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama! It’s the fashion event of the year, and there will be some new twists on the already incredible soiree.

Last year was my first time there in the twenty-eight-year history, and it was jaw-dropping as is. But now, reports from other cities are that its more fabulous than ever. The must-attend fashion show has moved from Santa Monica to the very hip and historic Orpheum Theater downtown, which will give it a whole new vibe.

Of course, no matter how wonderful the fashion show itself is, including the oh-so-fun after-party, the best part is that the event benefits two very deserving charities: AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project Angel Food. And what could be better than helping others while having a great time yourself?!

You can read about last year’s Macy’s Passport event here: www.itsnotaboutme.tv/news/2009/10/02/macy%e2%80%99s-passport-fashion-show-2009 . As you’ll see, it was a celebrity-filled event, and now the public can purchase tickets to attend the 2010 edition on September 16th. Some of this year’s designers are Material Girl, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc by Marc Jacobs, INC International Concepts, Calvin Klein, Jezebel/Felina Lingerie, 2(X)ist and Just Cavalli.

But it’s really about so much more than fashion. There are unbelievably creative sets and choreography, and music, this year headlined by the always-interesting Macy Gray. And I can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked-up for the after-party at the California Market Center.
