I WEEP FOR THE WORLD
I had other columns planned for this entire week, but I just felt that I couldn’t discuss anything else until I cried with everybody the world over.
This absolute evil that is happening to Israel is something that few of us could ever even envision happening in the twenty-first century.
Every day for over a year and a half now, I’ve been mourning for and praying for Ukraine. I still can’t believe what that psychotic Putin is doing to those poor Ukrainians. How can one madman ruin the lives of so many in this advanced day and age?
I thought those horrors perpetrated by that insane Russian despot would make every other country take extra steps to ensure that war would never happen to them. And yet, here we are again, with the unfathomably horrendous situation in Israel this time. No one could have been prepared for horrors of this magnitude.
Of course, the leaders of the Hamas terrorists are the main barbarians, but what boggles my mind even more is that there are so many people under their command who have no problem with killing innocents! And doing even worse to them. What is wrong with those savages??? How can soooo many people in that organization have no conscience???
One of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever seen in my entire life is an Israeli father, Thomas Hand, bearing his absolute soul to explain that he was relieved when he found-out that his precious eight-year-old daughter, Emily, was dead rather than taken hostage. He said this on CNN the other day, in one of the most heart-wrenching interviews ever:
“They just said, ‘We found Emily, she’s dead,’ and I went, ‘Yes!’ I went ‘Yes’ and smiled because that is the best news of the possibilities that I knew. The best possibility that I was hoping for. She was either dead or in Gaza, and if you know anything about what they do to people in Gaza, that is worse than death, that is worse than death. The way they treat you, they have no food, they have no water. She’d be in a dark room with who knows how many people, and terrified every minute, hour, day, and possible years to come. So death was a blessing, an absolute blessing.”
The entire situation in Israel—from Hamas’ very first barbaric terrorist moves—is beyond comprehension. I keep thinking of those poor music festival goers who were having the time of their lives just a few minutes before the horrors began.
But it gets worse as the days wear on. Not just learning of more atrocious acts of terrorism, but finding-out that there are supposedly intelligent people around the world, and in this country in specific, who think that these atrocities are okay! (Some sickos have even deemed them to be “necessary!” I’m sick just writing that!) There is something seriously wrong with those people.
And because of all those disturbed monsters and human abominations, we all need to be even more fearful in our day-to-day lives right now. Jewish people have to stay away from their places of worship for a while, and even Screen Actors Guild had to do something as simple as cancelling their picket lines today for fear of lunatics harming them. Many events around the country have been postponed because of the few lunatics who are harming so many.
Obviously, these precautionary measures are nothing compared to the slaughters in Israel. My point is simply that we all need to be scared right now, and to please stay vigilant.
Let us all pray for the people of both Israel and Ukraine. And for humanity.
