HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022!!!
There’s not much to say about the new year right now other than to express my hopes for 2022.
Of course, my first wish is for us all to be happy and especially, healthy. That includes praying that this darn Covid virus will miraculously disappear as mysteriously as it appeared two years ago.
Wow—two full years of this horror! Who would’ve thunk it?! And even more horrific is that I really believe that it’s here to stay, like the flu and common cold. Bite my tongue, of course, but also mark my words. Shame, to all of it.
And then, of course, I have all the usual wishes for peace in the world. But, very sadly, this year I must add that I really pray that all the evils that have gotten out of hand recently, such as all the shootings, lootings, smash-and-grabbing, and follow-home robberies, will just stop. I think that most of us are now more scared than we’re even been to just be living our normal lives. The criminals are all so brazen and their crimes have gotten outrageous!
Yes, I realize that this image has possible Xmas trees in it, but it’s so pretty that I couldn’t stop myself from including it. And holiday trees can technically stay up until January 6th!
Okay, I brought the room down just to remind us of what we’re still facing. Just because the calendar has turned a major page, it doesn’t mean that all our problems suddenly go away.
But let’s all try really hard to make everything better this year. If, God forbid, you’re not vaccinated/boosted, please do so ASAP! Really, you have to be Aaron-Rodgers-stupid to not understand by now that you have a much more serious chance of getting incredibly sick and even dying if you’re unvaccinated. I can’t even use the argument that you’re putting so many others at risk by not being vaccinated yourself because anti-vaxxers just seem to be selfish by definition, and from what we’ve seen over the past year, they appear to care about no one or nothing outside of their crazy theories; they think they know better than the doctors and medical scientists! I can’t stand it anymore.
Okay, I planned to write a brief uplifting new year’s piece, but instead, I spoke my mind on the horrific situations the world is facing right now.
So please take it all to heart, and let’s all vow to do better. I’m taking that pledge now. Begging with practicing optimism always by wishing all of you…
…a very Happy New Year! May 2022 turn-out to be just that!
