HAPPY HANUKKAH 2015

2014_hanukkah_enChannukah may have taken many of you by surprise this year.  Even one of my most observant, faithful-to-the-religion pals got it wrong!  She was helping me with my Holiday Gift Guide this year, and had warned me that Chanukkah comes early this year, to make sure that I kept that in mind for the publishing date of the guide.

But she erroneously told me it was on the 13th.  So, when I recently discovered that Hanukkah begins on December 6th, which is two days from now, I was as surprised as anyone. As was my usually knowledgable pal!

Hanukkah-GiftsSo, if you were also caught unaware, might I refer you to my just-published Holiday Gift Guide? It’s filled with great ideas, all tested by my trusty Review Panel.  And you still have time to order even the mail ones–unlike all the others, this holiday is a full eight…days…long!  So you can’t go wrong with giving a present on even the last night. (Here’s the link to the guide, in case you missed it: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/gift-ideas-holiday-gift-guide-2015.)

The only other thing I have to say about this holiday, I said here last year: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/holiday-happy-hannukah-2014. I wouldn’t have even brought it up again, but one of the most popular new shows, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, did a bit on the many spellings of Chanukkah the other night, and it reminded me of what I wrote…a full year before they did! (Did any of you even notice that I spelled it many different ways in this column? I wanted to give you, my readers, your choice. And even SpellCheck approved of them all!)

So, that’s it for this year. If this is one you celebrate, I wish you a very Happy Hanukkah. Or Chanukkah. Or Hannukah. Or… You get it.
