The Harris Twins once again held their pre-Oscars gifting suite in what my contributing writer on this one, Stacey, refers to as “the swanky W Hotel in Hollywood.” This one was in actual suites, and the patio, on the second floor, whose layout so many of the guests are very comfortable with by now.

Stacey had never been to a Wow Creations event before, and she said, “Surrounded by great Hollywood-themed art, the suite was in full party mode when we arrived. We felt the energy and excitement right away. We were immediately greeted by not only the twins, but also by the hugely talented Japanese violinist, Shogo.” And later on, this former circus girl (yours truly, of course) was thrilled to see up-close-and-personal tricks being performed by The Circus Man!

Those entertainment interludes were lovely accompaniments to learning about all the gifts on tap. Here are the highlights of what we discovered that day:

Vitabrid—We spent a lot of time with the adorable rep of this skincare company from Korea. Stacey paid rapt attention to everything he told us and sums it all up thusly: “The basis of this line is the special Vitamin C each product is packed with. It’s considered to be ‘beauty in bioscience.’” They manufacture absolutely everything one could possibly need for beauty, not just for the face but for the hair, as well! Stacey says, “With shampoo, cleansing balm, face brightening powder, dual drop serum, deep hydration and moisture retention mask, this line promises to create a more luminous complexion with real results. Judging from what we learned from the expert on hand, this line from Korea is the real deal!” I totally concur with that assessment! www.vitabrid.com

Mperial Sportswear—So many guests were clamoring for a colorful gift from this Florida sportswear company that Stacey and I had to practically fight our way over there! The designer, Michael Chandler, had many new items since the last time I met him. They now make leggings and hoodies, and even all kinds of bags! Wow. (Good thing they were in the Wow suite because that’s what everyone kept saying when looking at their wares!) The only hard part of the whole experience with them was deciding just which fabulous piece of apparel to choose that day. www.mperialsportswear.com

Traveling Hands Massage—I was so happy to see this company with which I’m pretty familiar, and to introduce Stacey to them. They were doing mini chair massages right on site, for which the gift-gathering folk were most grateful. Stacey tells us, “I was lucky enough to be able to sample a few magical minutes of massage, and was floating for a while after.” Even better than being treated to a five-minute treatment at the suite, each VIP guest received a gift certificate for a 60-minute massage, which they go to you to do! (Hence the moniker “Traveling Hands!” Duh.) www.travelinghandsmassage.com

Donna Leah Designs—This soon-to-launch fashion website was gifting a choice of a sparkly evening purse or a flower-appliquéd fingerless glove. Of the latter, Stacey says, “In all my years and through all my travels, I can honestly say, I’ve never seen anything like it before!” So kudos to this company for coming up with something different for us jaded fashionistas!  www.donnaleahdesigns.com

ErasingTime—This Woodland Hills spa which Stacey tells us “offers non-surgical facelifts, and treatment for age spots, sun damage, scarring, hyper-pigmentation, acne, wrinkles, fine lines, frown lines, skin and hand rejuvenation, and even vaginal rejuvenation!,” handed-out gift certificates. I’m sure the Hollywood looks-conscious crowd at the suite will be happy to use them before the next major event! www.erasingtime.com

SC Enable Oil—Stacey says, “This stem-cell-infused regenerative beauty oil from Japan is the bomb!” Their area of the suite was jumping all day. They asked us to sign a wall poster for them, and then took pictures of us. It all felt like I was back doing my TV show, when my autograph and pix of me were in high demand! Maybe this serum will make me look as good as I did back then, too!  www.sc-japan.jp

Treeting Cards—As the mother of a tween son herself, Stacey was especially impressed that two young brothers created this fun company. She explains, “These unique items are greeting cards that each come with an appropriate candy treat. They are such a great idea, and so super cute!”  Each guest got to choose his or her own card, which was pretty difficult with so many clever designs on display, especially since Valentine’s Day was just a week away, and there were so many cute cards to celebrate it! www.treetingcards.com

Primal Life Organics—Stacey talked to this company’s rep for quite awhile, and explains, “They gifted a sample of their gemstone facial serum, which can be used under the eyes and all over your face. What makes this great-smelling serum particularly special is the ‘chi’ power from the gemstones in each bottle that they say will help to draw out negative energy and balance your ‘chi’ which, in traditional Chinese medicine is also known as life force or energy. Who can’t use a boost of positive energy and better balanced ‘chi?’ ” What she said! www.primallifeorganics.com

Cask Cartel Premium Spirits—Stacey cleverly says of this on-line alcohol company, “With over fifty-five hundred premium spirits available, its like the Amazon of Premium Spirits!” Each guest received a box of a quintet of samples of some of their top sellers, along with a logo vessel to drink them out of. Clever. www.caskcartel.com

Love Works Method—This love-and-relationship coach was gifting something really interesting. It’s a deck of Love cards, which are akin to Tarot cards, but these are for only issues of the heart. The reps told Stacey that they were “created to assist you in receiving guidance, clarity, and insights about your love life whether you’re single, going through a break-up, or in a partnership.” I asked single Stacey to try them out; if she does, we’ll let you know how they work. I think it would be fun to play with them, no matter what. They looked cool! www.loveworksmethod.com

Nirvana Bars—These sisters gifted a trio of their Daily Recovery Bars in various flavors such as chocolate coconut, cherry pistachio, and peanut butter and honey. Stacey noted that they’re “made with Turmeric Root Extract, among other natural ingredients, so these bars are not just yummy, but they promote relief from inflammation associated with exercise.” Uh, couch potato moi is sticking with just yummy! www.nirvanabars.com

LaMonique Cosmetics—Stacey tells us, “This affordable line of luxury mineral-based cosmetics, which are free of parabens and gluten, (and is also cruelty-free,) gifted attendees a Liquid Illuminator. It’s a slightly-tinted sheer, lightweight liquid that brightens skin as it highlights and contours cheeks and brow bones.” And what beauty-loving female does not need one of those?! www.lamoniquecosmetics.com

Sacred Wings—This Holistic Health Consultant gifted what Stacey refers to as an “Oscars Survival Kit.” It contained a stick of sage, (Mr. X and I sage our house on a monthly basis, and feel that it really does help); an oil to get rid of stress, (if that works, I’ll get a whole vat of it!); and a blue Tiger’s Eye crystal, which Stacey told me “is known for its calming effect.” More importantly, they gifted a cert for either an in-person mini-energy-clearing session, or a video call for the same purpose, for us busy Hollywood types who don’t even have time for our own health issues! Miracle Pain Rub—This is a very aptly-named product because it really is a miracle! Mr. X and I have been using it for years, me on my broken back, him on his krumping knees. The salve is infused with CBD oil, so that just might be the secret to it’s pain-reducing abilities. No matter what it is in there that does the trick, I’m always happy to see this sponsor at Wow’s events!

Dale Audrey—This dentist was gifting a tooth whitening pen and a sample of her Ayurvedic oral pulling rinse in warm cinnamon. Stacey talked to her for a bit, and says, these items are good to use as “part of an overall program for optimal oral heath.” www.daleaudrey.com
