WOW CREATIONS MTV MOVIE LOUNGE

[Note: each MTV Movie Awards Suite gets its own column, in the order that I visited them, because I don’t want you to miss even one item I’m telling you about. So, please make sure to check back several times to learn about all the fabulous-ness. This is the first of five.]

I began the week at the Wow Creations suite, held this time at the hip Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which I always love. I get to step right outside and visit the Walk of Fame star of my great pal, Angie Dickinson, and that gives me a warm feeling.

And speaking of warm feelings, I’m sure that everyone in this mezzanine level suite was delighted by the view of the Hollywood action right outside the floor-to-ceiling picture windows! How fun for the out-of-town sponsors!

And speaking of the sponsors, here are the highlights of them:

All photos by Karen Salkin.

The Indi Exhibit—always a big favorite of mine (and of all the suite-goers with whom I speak,) I was happy to see The Indi Exhibit the instant I entered the suite. Besides getting to see so many of their artists’ work displayed on their table, I loved that they used giant popcorn tubs to gather the great gifts in! It was perfect for the MTV Movie Awards! Get it? The gifts inside the tub were even better, with everything from necklaces to head gear to mini-paintings! So, whenever you need to send someone a gift, do yourself a favor and check-out their offerings. www.theindiexhibit.org

C-Zen Travel Pillow–I could not have been happier to see this company here! I used their travel pillow on my last trip to NY, and it worked perfectly! I’m used to flying a major airline’s business class, where no outside comfort aids are necessary. But that time, I had to fly on a coach-only airline, and let me tell you that I would have been miserable without my C-Zen pillow! I used it several of the ways the brochure showed us, and was comfortable in all of them! Now, if someone could just fix the weird food situation on Jet Blue, this just might be my new airline! www.c-zen.com

Lasio Haircare—this is a hair product company, out of New York, that’s new to me. Their on-site expert discussed each guests’ follicle concerns before choosing just the right gifts for them. www.lasioinc.com

Bagadocious—with the prices of handbags and footwear through the roof nowadays, it’s a good idea to store them in bags. This company puts a photo of your actual product on the front of the bag so that you can identify and protect at the same time. www.bagadocious.com

Repeat Possessions–this is an on-line shopping site that sells wares from different brands including the colorful, neon, seamless, one-size-fits-all camisoles they were gifting at this suite. My mouth watered for the lot of them, but I chose the bright pink because it reflects brightness onto the skin. The site contributes some of their proceeds to several charities, including the one below, with whom they shared a sponsor table. www.repeatpossessions.com

Hope For SMA—this charity organization, (that’s too sad for me to write about, but please check-out their site to discover how you can help,) was gifting tote bags and infant attire. But the guests should have been the ones gifting them! www.hopeforsma.org

TheraPearl—as a major orthopedic patient over the last couple of years, (lucky me,) I really appreciate finding some new hot/cold packs, especially ones that are so mouth-wateringly pretty. TheraPearl has ones for most body parts, and even adorable animal one for kids. And mewww.therapearl.com

Royal Street Wear Tees—we decided that the muted colors of these attractive tees are for people who don’t want others looking at them, but want to look good, just in case. Good idea! www.royalstreetwear.com

On top of all those gifts, the Harris twins, (the organizers of the suite,) kept our energy levels up with all kinds of snacks, including Frosted Robin tea cakes, Lundberg rice chips, and the favorite of Mr. X, Pirate’s Booty baked cheese puffs.
