WOW CREATIONS’ 2021 PRE-EMMYS GIFTING SUITE
After the success of Wow Creations’ Oscars Suite at the Universal Hilton earlier in the year, they returned to the hotel’s ballroom for their Emmys event.
My associate, Marc, who accompanied me there this time, had been to the Harris Twins’ events before, but never at this location, and told me he “was impressed with the venue.” He also remarked that “they had a fantastic turnout,” and especially loved that “guests were treated to a live harp player, Carolyn Sykes, upon arrival,” the classiness of which I loved, as well.
We both enjoyed that there was quite the array of gifts; we appreciated the diversity of it all. Many of the products we had never seen anywhere before!
So let me tell you about the highlights of what we found there:
Facial Lounge—Marc and I are both very into skin care, (which people will notice if we ever remove our anti-Covid masks again!) So we were happy to discover this skincare spa, whose on-site reps could not have been more pleasant. The guests received their choice of a product from the company’s line, (such as a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, or mask,) or a one-hour custom organic vegan facial treatment at the spa. It’s located in Corona del Mar, so it will be a fabulously refreshing (in all ways) little day trip for all the guests who received a certificate for the treatment. www.faciallounge.com
Superbad Inc.—This cannabis company gifted the happy guests a little packet containing…half a dozen rolled joints. No wonder the reps were the most upbeat, (not to mention popular,) group there! (We knew they were in attendance again the second we entered the ballroom and caught a whiff.) www.superbadinc.com
Olive Oil Pantry—As someone who uses olive oil just about every day, I was thrilled to come upon this company again, who offers an oil in just about every flavor imaginable. They were gifting sets of a bottle of olive oil along with one of balsamic vinegar in a little bag which was prettied-up by tissue paper with purple pix of olives on the vine. And the handles were tied with…material olive branches! How inviting! www.theoliveoilpantry.com
Sabre Pepper Spray—With all the crime going on everywhere these days, (it’s insane, right?,) I’m sure that all the guests were grateful to receive a two-piece set of pepper sprays right about now. The bigger one is perfect to keep by one’s bed, while the travel size will be appreciated now that the world is opening up a bit. www.sabrered.com
House of Orange—This natural skincare company gifted a duo of their most popular products: Citrus Eucalyptus Foot Soak and Apple Seed & Bakuchiol Firming Face Oil, (with bakuchiol being touted as “nature’s retinol.”) And I loved that their gift boxes were in sync with the company’s name, adorned with orange tissue paper and mesh gift bag on the side, and all tied up with an orange ribbon, to boot. Very clever. www.houseoforangeco.com
Millennium Essence Candles—I’m sure all the guests appreciated that, at this sophomore gifting suite for this company, they were gifting their new Pumpkin Soufflé candles! Just walking by their table in the ballroom made me happily realize that Fall is finally here! www.millenniumessence.com
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay—After a year and a half of “home detention,” I think everyone will benefit from this famous deep pore cleansing clay mask! And each person can mix the clay to their own desired thickness. By the way–it’s not just for the face; you can use it on your feet, (which all the guests at Wow probably did at the end of the busy day,) and even your entire body. Not only was each guest gifted a container of it, but the kind reps included a bottle of organic apple cider vinegar, with which the clay needs to be mixed. www.aztec-secret.com
Central Cali Caregivers—This company always offers guests an assortment of CBD-infused products to help with various maladies. Their top one is labeled “Miracle Rub.” And let me tell you—it is exactly that!!! It’s been my favorite pain cream for a long while now—my broken back swears by it! www.centralcalicaregivers.net
Misaky Crystal Treats–This “crystal” candy from Japan is almost too beautiful to eat! It looks like jewels! And tastes like fruit. And they’re sort-of healthful, to boot, being made from seaweed, which can aid in lowering cholesterol. www.misaky.tokyo
Mona Listen—The author of this book, Shana Schoone, was on hand to discuss it with everyone. Its subtitle is 8 Lessons in Gratitude, a topic I feel most people should be schooled in these days. Actually, we can all use many more than eight lessons, but it’s a good place to begin remembering how lucky most of us are, especially people who are privileged enough to be invited to beautiful events such as this one!
Euphoria Jewelz—Every item in this jewelry line is uber-affordable. And it’s all attractive, to boot! Each guest received either a groovy necklace and earrings set or a hip pull-on bracelet. But everyone could have bought just about everything in the display for less than the price of valet parking that day!
Reign Menstrual Pads—I really do feel that products to make our “time of the month” a bit easier are often overlooked. So I was happy to discover this company whose pads are infused with a substance that can help with the horrible cramps, among other issues. And it was all gifted in a very pretty material bag, too! www.saveourjewels.com
Mood Oil—This hair stylist was gifting everyone her hair oil that you can use on your skin as well as on your tresses. It’s a combo of about a dozen different oils, so I have high hopes for it. www.moodoilbyshirlena.com
LaMonique Cosmetics—This Jersey girl was gifting her face sponges that are shaped like…lips! How fun compared to all the others I’ve seen. (And I love that her site features a “virtual mirror,” to see how you look in her products!) www.lamoniquecosmetics.com
