The Harris twin’s event was truly in “suites” this time, which I always enjoy. You never know what you’re going to find in each room. It was held once again at the W Hotel in Hollywood, and even the pouring rain could not stop the incredible number of guests who wanted to join the amiable brothers there to celebrate the Oscars!

My contributing writer this time was Roz, whose comments are all the ones in quotes along the way. She’s actually a veteran of gifting suites, but had never been to a Wow Creations one before! She gave the Harris bros a big thumbs-up for “putting on such a nice event, with lots of smiling faces to go around!”

And an added bonus is being greeted by the upbeat girls at the check-in table, Michelle Pugh and Kim Phillips. They make the whole experience extra-pleasant, and I always look forward to seeing them there.

There were sooo many gifts this time, so let’s get right to the highlights:

All Organic Nightwear–This company was gifting beautiful, all-white sleepwear made from 100% organic cotton. Guests chose either a flowing gown or comfy pajama set. And they had models showing us what we’ll look like in them, which was uber-helpful to everyone. www.allorganic.biz

Marc Edward Skincare—Marc Edward himself was on-hand to explain to the guests just how detailed his Red Carpet Facials are. I’m sure that all of them will be happy to use their gift certificates to his West Hollywood spa to have their faces refreshed after this whole crazy awards season!  www.marcedwardskincare.com

Climate Case—I had never before seen these colorful insulated cell phone cases anywhere, so they were a wonderful surprise! Roz told me that they “prevent smartphones from overheating/freezing,” which, with the crazy weather we’re having in Southern California, can go either way these days! She added that, because they’re made from “durable neoprene” and are “impact-resistant and machine washable” they’re the “perfect accessory for harsh outdoor conditions.” (So I guess I can go back to blizzard-y New York for a visit now!) And the hidden pocket appeals to my spy-prone mind! www.climatecase.com

Jackie’s Cookie Babies—The last time I had a container of these crunchy little cookies, I found them to be so delicious that I actually kept the whole passel for myself, and didn’t share even one of the tasty tidbits with Mr. X, which rarely happens. So I was happy to introduce them to Roz at this event. She was thrilled that there were gluten-free and vegan choices, and found them “fun to munch!” www.jackiescookieconnection.com

Dixie Clothing—These pleasant peeps were gifting a choice of two fabulous gifts! Roz perused the tote bags made from “up-cycled” jeans, while I set my sights on their colorful reversible skull caps, which are the hippest accessories right now.  She told me she loved the bags which she deemed “great gifts, especially for teens.” And we both love a company like this who diverts hundreds of pounds of textiles per week away from landfills! www.shopdixie.ca

Brevena–This skin care company that I was already a fan of was gifting their Daily Hydration Moisturizer. Roz was excited to learn that it contains a special ingredient that she says “has been found to restore damaged skin.” And as an avid tennis player and swimmer, which means she’s always in the sun, we know she can use a bunch of that! www.brevena.com

OUE, Sky Space Los Angeles—I had attended an event at this popular downtown venue last year, but I was too chicken to go on their famous glass-encased Skyslide. So, now that I spoke with their representatives again, and with Roz’s encouragement, we may just do it this year. I have a feeling that the rest of Wow’s adventurous guests will all be headed there, too, for the fabulous 360-degree view of LA! www.oue-skyspace.com

Schwarzkopf Professional—This very known hair care company was on-site gifting enhancements for blondes. (I guess we redheads and brunettes don’t need the help!) I actually think these products can be used for all colors, but blondes need the directions, if you get my drift! And Roz said the items are good for “tinted hair because they’re sulfate-free.” www.schwarzkopf.com

Takado—This very interesting skin foundation from Japan comes in only one shade, which the rep told us is perfect for all skin colors. It looked good on Roz’s hand, so I’d love to see how it looks on everyone’s faces! It has SPF, too, so you don’t even need to add sunscreen over it. www.takako-beauty.com

Perfect Eyelash Essence—This is the latest eyelash volume enhancing product to hit the market. It’s made in Japan, so I have high hopes for it! Roz has never tried any of them before, so she was particularly interested in seeing just what this one can do. www.i-story-group.com

Hemp Gorgeous—This company was gifting their Plain Jane Body Lotion, which they told us not only soothes your skin, but may also help with pain and inflammation. That’s because it contains CBD, a substance that naturally occurs in both cannabis and hemp plants. It’s not the part that makes you high, but wouldn’t we all rather be gorgeous, anyway? www.hempgorgeous.com

Ripe Strawberry Beauty Enzyme Drink—Roz pointed-out that this “new, flavorful drink” from Japan is “made from organic strawberries.” The reps said it’s for “women who aim for inner beauty.” But they were all outwardly beautiful when they told us that! And they had the absolutely prettiest, most mouth-watering display at the suite! Roz says, “Let’s drink to your health!” www.ichigo-yakusoku.com

Queen Enzyme by Aphros Queen—Each guest received a canister filled with little packets from Japan, which contian digestive enzymes. Besides that it’s all good for you to begin with, Roz suggested that they’re “very easy to carry with you, for an added boost to your day.” www.aphros-queen.co.jp

Kandy Care–This is a boutique collective that was gifting high-grade cannabis edibles, in many fun flavors like Pink Grapefruit and Cotton Kandy. (Clever, all the Ks.) It’s even available in real cotton candy, which must be perfect for enjoying a colorful circus! I also appreciated their colorful packages. www.kandycare.com

Daily Body Restore–This supplement combines probiotics with digestive enzymes to reduce gas and bloating. I have a feeling that any of the guests who were partying away Oscars week-end were happy to receive help with those issues!!! www.dailybodyrestore.com

Aubio Cold Sore Treatment Gel—This time of year, so many people are getting sick. And you just know that nobody in looks-conscious Tinseltown wants to be seen with a cold sore, especially around awards season. So I’m sure the guests appreciated receiving this gel to help with that! Roz said, “It’s always good to have on hand.” www.aubio.com

Karen Michelle Boutique—I was happy to see the owner of this local boutique I’ve shopped in! She was gifting little travel candles, which can also be used as a skin softener after it melts! Roz said that’s a “good idea when you’re on the road,” so you’ll always have moisturizer handy! www.karenmichelle.com

Mama Taylor Fudge—I had never shared this fudge with Roz before, so when she tried it at the suite, she deemed it to be “superior” and mentioned that it “melts in your mouth.” She said it’s so good that she’d be happy to give it as “a gift anytime!”  www.mamataylorstreats.com

Nyakio Soothing Oil– Roz said of this face oil that helps eliminate redness, “The package says it all—that it’s for ‘hardworking women in the sunshine.’ And the roll-on container is very cool.” I say, “What she said!” www.nyakio.com

What If—Matthew Imes, the first-time author of this novel, was on-site to gift his book (along with a package of mints with the same cover art!–clever touch,) and answer any questions that the guests might have about it. Hindsight is an always interesting topic, so this should be an interesting read.

Laser Lipo—This was the right place to be handing-out gift certificates for a laser body contouring session, let me tell you! I’m sure the guests were already making plans to get tuned-up before the next big event! www.ideal484u.com
