ULTRA GOLD OSCARS GIFTING SUITE

[Note: Despite just recovering from pneumonia, I managed to make it out to five gifting suites celebrating the 2014 Oscars. Each one gets its own column because I don’t want any of you to miss even one item I’m telling you about. So, please make sure to check out the last four posts to learn about all the fabulous-ness. This is the fifth of five. My Contributing Writer on this one is Stephanie.]

I passed on a couple of the bigger, more established lounges to have time to visit this newcomer into the suites game. (A girl can only do so many events now!) I always like to support newbies.

This first-time suite was held at the recently-remodeled For The Stars Fashion House, a hipster footwear store on Melrose.

It was more an event to showcase new products and healthful solutions, like how to tell if drinking water is good, but there was also a little bit of gifting going on as well.

Here are the highlights:

Guests received “Thinning Drops” (which is actually a serum to prevent thinning hair), courtesy of hairstylist Tonia B, who was quite darling.

We also got to chat with Tao Master Levitan, who gave-out certificates for consultations with him.  He seemed pretty happy himself, so we’re hoping he can steer us in that direction, as well.

But the best thing to me was King Rex Vodka, that comes in the most interesting bottle I’ve ever seen!  We all know that I don’t drink, but I’ll sure enjoy staring at it’s voodoo-looking face on the front of the bottle while my pals imbibe.

They had a really pleasant group of women serving luscious-looking desserts, but, alas for us, they all contained alcohol. As I just mentioned above, I don’t drink at all, (because I hate the taste of alcohol, so clearly, these pretty confections were not for me,) and Stephanie is a responsible driver, so we couldn’t sample them, but the rest of the guests seemed happy with them. They were going fast.

And that’s it for the Oscars suites this year.  Whew!  As exhausting as it is, we loved every second of them.

Now on to March events, including a quick trip to Vegas, which I’ll tell you about next week. But springing the clock ahead this past week-end definitely didn’t help me have energy for them all!
