ECOLUXE LOUNGE AT SUNDANCE GOODIE BAG

This very eco-friendly lounge returned to Sundance…for their 10th anniversary! Wow. And, from what I understand from some pals who attend this Utah film festival each year, this is one of the only surviving gifting suites, so that’s even more of a tribute to them. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they also provided delicious vittles all day, along with musical entertainment. Now wonder it’s been a hit for so long!

Yet, once again, I could not find the time to make it out to Utah for the very famous film festival. That’s a shame because I have a producer pal who was out there with a couple of his sure-to-be-hits films, and I would have loved to be there to support him.

But no mind; for the fourth year in a row, Debbie Durkin, who produces this lounge, let me feel a small part of the action by providing some goodies from her suite for me. Here are the highlights:

Choices Recovery Center goodie bag—There were several fun items in here, including a selfie stick, and what I actually needed most right now—a travel manicure kit! I had just misplaced my own nail cleaner, and, since there are few things more disgusting on an otherwise groomed person than dirty nails, I was uber-relieved to have one again. And it reminds me of the beloved kit I kept in my Brooklyn abode, so it’s an extra-win for me!

Modern Oats–I already eat this oatmeal that comes in its own to-go cup, but now I also have a cozy ski cap to go along with it. (I actually wore it at the theater the other night, when the air-conditioning was blowing down on me!)

Barefoot ECO Outfitters—The company’s apparel is always cozy, so I was happy to receive a long-sleeved ski polo.

Anchor Almond Butter Toffee—This delicious toffee comes from my third favorite state, Rhode Island! So eating a piece gave me happy memories.

Colour Pop Cosmetics—I already use tons of their make-up products, so I was excited to receive another lip gloss and eye shadow.

Jagger’s World of Autism—As a former teacher, I can tell you that there are a lot of parents of autistic children who will appreciate this book by Dennis Vanasse.

Whole Health Medical Group—This wellness group from Utah offered some always-welcome vitamins to the guests.

John Paul Pet Awapoochi Shampoo—What pet owners don’t love to receive a new shampoo for their furry friends?

As always with awards shows, I’ll be live-tweeting the Oscars this Sunday, beginning with the arrivals, which start at 3PM Pacific Time. If you don’t already follow me, you might want to do so before then. @MajorCelebrity. And, in case you’re wondering, I’m totally rooting for Hacksaw Ridge because my good friend, David Permut, produced it! That’s right—I’m actually friends with an Oscar-nominated producer! And I could not be happier for him, no matter what happens on Sunday.
