CELEB SIGHTINGS 60!

I haven’t ventured out this summer as much as usual, due to the excessive heat we’ve been experiencing. But I did manage to do a bit of Celeb Sighting for you, anyway.

This is far from the most sparkling group of celebrities ever spied around town, but it’s definitely varied.  There’s a combo of several I had never before seen in person and a few I spot quite often, since we attend many of the same theatre events.  And, as always, there’s someone for every fan taste.

So let’s get to them.

5/31/18  Original Charlie’s Angel, the still-beautiful Jaclyn Smith, at the Wallis in Beverly Hills, enjoying a wonderful dance company. (You can read my review of that show here: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/dance-body-traffic.)

6/9/18  Jennifer Love Hewitt in Westwood, dining at Emporium, my favorite Thai restaurant. (Here’s the link to my recent review of their next-door spa, along with a mini review of Emporium: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/healthdining-aqua-thai-spaemporium.)

6/10/18  Sigourney Weaver (in an incredibly wrinkled skirt) at the Wallis in Beverly Hills for opening night of Long Day’s Journey Into Night, starring Jeremy Irons and the divine Lesley Manville.  Sigourney and Jeremy might possibly be old pals because they seemed to be enjoying chatting with each other at the post-show reception. [Note: The big pic at the top of this page is of Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Irons deep in conversation, with an interloper on each side of them! 6/20/18  Former TV series actress Joan Van Ark at the Music Center, for the opening night of The Humans, pulling up to the valet right behind me.  I don’t know how I even saw her since she’s the skinniest (not in a good way) person I’ve ever seen. (Here’s my review of that show: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/theatre-the-humans.)

New besties (if only for this pic) Laura Bell Bundy and Karen Salkin.

6/22/18  The absolutely adorable Laura Bell Bundy, in the courtyard outside the UCLA theatre in which she had just starred in the musical Sweet Charity.  She not only chatted with me for a long time, she also hung-out with her fellow cast members waaay longer than anyone I’ve ever seen do that after their show. Most people just book out of there right after the curtain comes down!!! (You can find-out all about that darling girl and her show right here: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/theatre-sweet-charity.)

Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

7/10/18  Gloria Estefan paid a surprise visit to the opening night of the musical about her life, On Your Feet, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.  I had already predicted her curtain call appearance, but it was still very exciting.  I just wish that she would have done a number with the cast, as Billy Joel did many years ago when a show with his music premiered at the same venue. Actually, he did a whole mini-concert for us! But oh well. We were happy just to see Gloria looking so great! (And here’s my review of that fabulous show: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/theatre-on-your-feet.)
