SUNDAY WILL BE MY ANNIVERSARY WITH L.A. AGAIN!

I usually celebrate my anniversary with Los Angeles in this e-zine on the exact day, July 27th. But that date falls on Sunday this year, so I’m doing so today, two days in advance. That’s okay, though, because I get the added happiness of looking forward to it for these extra couple of days.

There’s not too much left to say about my anniversary than I already have in my previous articles on the topic here in INAM, for most of the past fifteen years, (I neglected to write about it a few times, usually because one review or essay or rant took precedence on the date,) but I really do still love this city, and am always soooo grateful to have discovered it to begin with.

If you’d like to hear about my crazy teen-age journey from Brooklyn to LA, (with a few digressions, of course—have you met me?!,) including why I decided to stay, and how I celebrate my anniversary with LA each and every year, here’s the link to my YouTube video on the subject: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gtPybsO6VE&feature=youtu.be. I actually shot it a few years ago, so I’m a tad chubbier in the vid than I am now, in case you’re a judger, (as I often am, especially of myself!)

Now here’s the important aspect of what I have to say in the video, for not only your girl here. My tale is truly not just about me. It’s actually a story about life and opportunities and being brave and realizing what you really want. And looking for signs from the universe.

So even though we’re celebrating me this weekend, (and LA, of course,) I hope that everyone who watches this video will be able to apply something from it to their own lives. In great ways only!

Happy Anniversary to L.A. and me! On Sunday, and every year!
