HOLIDAY: HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY 4TH 2024

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY 4TH 2024

Some may think it’s a tad weird to have this holiday fall in the late middle of the week, but I suggest taking today, tomorrow, Friday, and then the week-end off to make it a five-day holiday! That will make it extra-special. (Unless, as some people did, you instead took off last Friday through the day after the 4th, which would have made it an entire week of vacay time! If that’s the case, good for you, and I hope you’re already having fun.)

Yum!

Yum!

But if you do it the way I recommend, you can have a big blowout tomorrow on the actual 4th, while having the luxury of using today and tonight to get it all ready. And then take the following three days to recover from it all.

I’ll be taking all that time off, but not exactly for Fourth of July, though. Can you guess what my raison d’être is for this entire week? I bet you regular readers can, especially those of you who read this Monday’s column. The purpose of my mini “staycay” is to…continue watching the Wimbledon tennis tourney! Of course. (If you missed it, here’s my little primer on it: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/tennis-wimbledon-2024-begins-today.)

Fun!

Fun!

But if you’re craving a juicy Fourth of July story from me, here are the links to two of them:

The first is what I’ve labeled “My Fourth of July Miracle.” You can read it right here: itsnotaboutme.tv/news/miscellaneous-a-recent-fourth-of-july-miracle.

And the second is a video I did a few years ago about a more recent (and embarrassing) holiday event: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtLqXvbYNOE.

Happy 4th of July to you all. And a very Happy Anniversary to Mr. X and me (again) because it falls on this holiday week-end, (July 7th,) and I’m not doing another column until after that. So to Mr. X, I still say, “Love ya, doll!”

Share.

      Thank you, Kayroll.
It was pretty uneventful. We went to our usual little neighborhood thing, and then were too tried to go to the party we planned to! And now I’m hearing fireworks, but cannot figure-out where they’re coming from!
      I hope yours was good!

  1. Hi Karen.

I love how you snuck in your anniversary. Don’t you usually give it its own day on here? But Happy Anniversary to you and your boo.

    Cammie
