SPOILED AND ENTITLED PRE-EMMYS GIFTING SUITE

This new-to-the-game gifting suite was the perfect one with which to close-out Emmys weekend. It took place just the day before the awards show, so it put a nice little capper to all the festivities. And it was a really casual, mellow one, which we liked.

The location of Spoiled and Entitled was the brand new Par 4 Golf, (where players practice their swings on simulated courses,) in West Hollywood. I had gone to a party at a similar place in New York City the last time I was there, and was wondering why LA didn’t have one like it. And now we do! It literally just opened, so my co-writer, Laura, (yes—she’s back!,) and I were happy to be among the first to experience the unintimidating compact venue.

Laura says, “This was a more intimate gifting suite, which actually gave the event a relaxed and easygoing feel. The smaller setting worked well, making it easy to spend time at each booth, talking with the people behind the brands, and really learn about what they were showcasing. It felt less hectic than some of the larger suites, and made for a very pleasant afternoon.”

The event featured a couple of services, a few products that were totally new to us, and one of our favorites that we had run into in a prior year. So let’s begin the highlights with that one:

SingleTree Lane—We had met this very imaginative clothing designer once before, so we were already fans of her incredible work. Laura said, “I really enjoyed seeing the woman behind this wonderfully bold California fashion brand again. Anita’s pieces are colorful, artistic, and definitely not designed for someone who wants to disappear into the crowd!” We happily chatted with her for a while, and Laura got a kick out of “hearing how she approaches creating them. She told us that she once had a very specific shoe in mind, and couldn’t find what she envisioned anywhere, so she finally decided to design it herself. Stingray Clean—This cute couple from New York were on hand to demonstrate how their famous spot remover works by purposely spilling red wine on a…wedding dress! I almost fainted. (And then wished I had brought a couple of my own stained items for them to fix!) Laura tells us, “I’m almost obsessive about stain removal, so I was excited to discover this company. Legendary Foods Donuts—I loved meeting this duo of reps, who are perhaps the most pleasant ones I’ve ever met at a gifting suite! They seemed sooo happy to be sharing their protein donuts, which are uniquely flat, with the guests. Laura was very excited to find-out about them, having seen them at her gym all the time. She says, “I’ve actually been curious about these Legendary donuts for a while! When I check in at Crunch they have them sitting right there on the counter, and I always look at them and wonder what they taste like. With 20 grams of protein in a two-pack, they’re definitely not your typical donuts. And all the flavors sound delicious—Blueberry, Cinnamon Crumble, Chocolate Dipped, Pink Sprinkle, and Vanilla Glazed. 2nd Wind Pulse—Laura loved this service! She says, “I had never experienced PEMF—Pulsed Electromagnetic Field—therapy before, so I was curious to see what it was all about. Tarot Readings by Susan Georgiev—The guests were clamoring to get their cards read, but Susan stayed calm throughout and gave each guest their proper time with her. I have to keep my own reading to myself, as everyone should, to not give its power away. There were platters of cheese and crackers and cookies at the front of the event space, and guests were offered sips of wine in the back. There were also auxiliary gifts of petite hand creams, which are perfect for travel; little vegan cookies in pretty little bags; bottles of sunscreen; leopard-print bandanas from Yasaman Fashion; and gift certs to Vivamayr, a medical health resort in Maria Wörth, Austria! And then, as we exited, we noticed containers of long-stemmed red roses to take, with a choice of accompanying greenery and baby’s breath, courtesy of Top of the Line PR. That put a lovely punctuation mark on the afternoon. What fun it all was.
