My newest contributing writer, John, had never been to this one before and he told me, \u201cIt was fun to meet Mark, and to have a few minutes to speak with some of the other attendees. And Wow did something I haven\u2019t seen before at other suites\u2014there were gifts on tables as the guests checked in! I noticed an elaborately packaged face serum and a new book in a beautiful purple pouch. And as a pet owner, I was excited to discover an ultrasonic tick fighter. I also got a kick out of seeing the large, well-lit step-and-repeat which provided a fun photo opportunity for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

We went to Wow sort-of early in the day, (for me, anyway,) so we loved that as we turned the corner after getting off the elevator, we came upon some delish morning refreshments. First up was La Belle Delight<\/strong>\u2019s coffee bar, which John was thrilled to see. He enjoyed his iced caramel macchiato from them. Everyone was milling around the table of tasty sweet treats by Marissa\u2019s Cake<\/strong>, which John says were \u201cbeautifully displayed.\u201d Everything was petite, which was perfect for not loading-up on desserts before the lunch fare inside the suite. Among them were mini versions of chocolate chip cookies, brownies, mango mousse, tiramisu, and my fave\u2014a creative rendition of strawberry shortcake! I could have eaten a dozen of them! (But no worries\u2014I saved some for everyone else.)<\/p>\n And then after we *meeted-and-greeted, the very first thing we saw when we entered the suite was a Mexican food bar from Lovely Taco Catering<\/strong>. There were several different items, all delicious. We both loved the chicken tostadas the most. John describes it for us: \u201cThe crunchy tortilla topped with chicken and fresh garnishes hit the spot; they were exactly what I needed to boost my energy as I discussed products with gifting sponsors.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0We especially enjoyed that there were sooo many different sauces and salsas for us to top our tidbits with\u2014I wanted to try them all! *(I know that word doesn\u2019t belong in the past tense, but \u201cmet<\/em>-and\u201dgreeted\u201d doesn\u2019t rhyme, so it defeats its own purpose.)<\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Once satiated, we finally looked around the rest of the room and noticed that there were many different services that we could have availed ourselves of this time, such as palm reading, healing, energy blessing, and even life coaching! I was interested in them all, but as we had more commitments that day, and were already time-constrained, we weren\u2019t able to do any.<\/p>\n So we just checked-out the gifts, and are happy to share the highlights of them with you:<\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Art Lewin Bespoke<\/strong>\u2014John said, \u201cThis celebrity tailor always impresses.\u201d He also constantly surprises us with different bespoke items. This\u00a0time, each of his gift bags contained a colorful pocket square, which John said were made of \u201cso many beautiful fabrics that I have no idea how anyone chose among them!,\u201d along with a pair of lovely dress socks, a few collar stays, and the thing I<\/em> need most\u2014a shoehorn! www.artlewinbespoke.com<\/a><\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Central Cali Caregivers<\/strong>\u2014I am always happy to see the head of this wellness company\u2014he\u2019s one the most pleasant people at any<\/em> suite! This time, he seemed to be repping even more products than usual, but, as always, I had eyes, (or more accurately, back<\/em>,) for only their famous Miracle Healing Rub! I had been singing its praises to John on the way there, so he really enjoyed seeing it in person. John tried one on the spot, and tells us, \u201cA little rub of Dr. Monica’s Scentsual Scents lasted throughout the day.\u00a0 The aromatic vanilla scent not only smells<\/em> heavenly, it is also plant-based and sustainably made.\u201d (I<\/em> add, yes\u2014\u201cScentsual\u201d is spelled correctly here. John spent quite a bit of time talking with her, and says, \u201cIt was a pleasure to meet Tracy Doyle. I look forward to reading about the practices she learned to overcome negative thinking, build connection, and find fulfillment.\u201d<\/p>\n Photo by John Seiber.<\/p><\/div>\n G.L.A.M Body Scrubs<\/strong>\u2014John tells us this \u201cfriendly team of women generously gifted samples of a duo of their products–luxuriant body scrub and a delicious-smelling herb mix.\u201d And I<\/em> knew what to expect right away as soon as I saw their signature gold pouches!<\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Awakening to the Fifth Dimension<\/strong><\/em>\u2014The author of this book, Kimberly Meredith, was on-site, signing a copy for each guest. She also did psychic readings in the easiest way. For example, as soon as John and I walked up to her table, before we even exchanged pleasantries, Kimberly told me my father was with me! At first, I thought she needed her eyes checked because I mistakenly assumed that she was talking about young-looking John. But then she said my deceased<\/em> parent was on my left shoulder! I asked what that was about, and he said Mark told him that he and his bro are already gearing-up for their next event for the Golden Globes in January!
