SOMETIMES EVIL WINS: THE AFTERMATH OF THE ELECTION<\/h1>\n

I can\u2019t bear it; no normal person can.<\/p>\n

I have many fun reviews and previews coming up this month in this e-zine, but I just could not continue with them before expressing my extreme sadness and disappointment with the people of this country.<\/p>\n

Orange Hitler has contributed nothing<\/em> to the world but chaos, stupidity, evil, and unintentional comedy.\u00a0 (Although I can\u2019t bear to even listen to monologues about him anymore.)<\/p>\n

What is wrong with the idiots who voted for him???\u00a0 I honestly cannot imagine what is in their heads. I would add, \u201cNor hearts,\u201d but they obviously have none of those.\u00a0 They have no brains, either.<\/p>\n

The last time around, I asked\u00a0some of the ones I personally know, and who are normal in several other ways, how they could possibly vote for someone so absolutely stupid.\u00a0 And none of them could back it up.\u00a0 At all.\u00a0 The only one I asked about that decision this<\/em>\u00a0time answered, \u201cIsrael,\u201d like Trump gives one whit about that country!\u00a0 She couldn\u2019t tell me what he\u2019s doing for them, but had been brainwashed by her people to think it was something good.\u00a0 It\u2019s like the idiots who had the one word answer for why they weren\u2019t voting for Hillary<\/em> back then\u2014\u201cBenghazi.\u201d When I asked them to explain it, not one of them had any idea how to do so; they couldn\u2019t even tell me if it was a country, person, or event!!!<\/p>\n

They all deserve what they will be getting. As for us normal folks, may heaven help us.<\/p>\n

We must put one foot in front of the other and keep going. And pray that we\u2019ll still be around in four years to correct this egregious wrong.<\/p>\n

But I did<\/em> think of something interesting that propelled me out of bed the morning after the election.\u00a0 It\u2019s this: Didn’t we learn from that dreadful January 6th insurrection, (when Trump the Lump told his demonic followers to kill<\/em> Mike Pence, his own Veep,) that the Vice President\u00a0of America is supposed to be the one to declare who the new President\u00a0is? If so, why doesn’t current\u00a0VP Kamala Harris just declare herself<\/em> to be the next President??? I wonder how the Republicans would take that!\u00a0 I would so love to see that, although I can\u2019t imagine her doing it.<\/p>\n

President Obama issued a statement much classier than my own, (of course.)\u00a0 Here it is:<\/p>\n

“The good news is that these problems are solvable\u2014but only if we listen to each other, and only if we abide by the core constitutional principles and democratic norms that made this country great.<\/p>\n

“In a country as big and diverse as ours, we won’t always see eye-to-eye on everything. But progress requires us to extend good faith and grace\u2014even to people with whom we deeply disagree. That’s how we’ve come this far, and it’s how we’ll keep building a country that is more fair and more just, more equal and more free.\u201d<\/p>\n
