Well, that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s happening this week.\u00a0 Even in my days of being known as The Queen of Clubs, I had not heard of The Bourbon Room. (Perhaps that\u2019s because, despite the burly men I\u2019ve now seen standing guard outside, it appears to be a\u00a0music<\/em>\u00a0club as opposed to a\u00a0dance<\/em>\u00a0one, the latter of which is what I was the promoter of way back when.)<\/p>\n And I still<\/em> hadn\u2019t heard of it until I found-out that lovely singer, Noelle Hannibal, will be appearing there on October 6th!\u00a0 I\u2019m proud to say that she\u2019s a good friend of mine, who\u2019s headquartered in Montreal now, where she runs a musical theatre company, In The Wings Promotions. And, oh–she sings beautifully! Her cabaret shows usually feature mainly show tunes, but this time she\u2019s performing her original tunes along with some covers, which I can\u2019t wait to hear.<\/p>\n Noelle is actually in Los Angeles this week because she just took part in this past week-end\u2019s big HorrorCon, signing autographs, meeting fans, and taking pix with them. All that is because she portrayed the first female Vulcan on Earth in\u00a0Star Trek: First Contact<\/em>\u00a0back in the day. For you sci-fi fans, you might also know her from\u00a0Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>, where she appeared as a Taresian woman, or as part of the \u201cSisterhood of Jhe\u201d in\u00a0Buffy, The Vampire Slayer<\/em>.<\/p>\n Robert Rankin Walker.<\/p><\/div>\n On Thursday night, Noelle will not be alone, either. She\u2019ll be performing at The Bourbon Room with her good friend,\u00a0singer-songwriter-guitarist Robert Rankin Walker. I\u2019m not familiar with him, but he looks fly in their promo pic on the venue\u2019s site, which is good enough for me!<\/p>\n The duo will be appearing in the intimate Lounge at the club, which should make it a cozy event, like we\u2019re all friends. That\u2019s a feeling I love. I understand they\u2019ll be accompanying themselves on acoustic guitars, which should be enchanting.<\/p>\n<\/a>
