<\/a>This is not one of my own drawings, but it’s just about what I always come up with whenever crayons are in my hands. Except I would never misspell “Mother’s” like that!<\/p><\/div>\n
For the past eight years, I\u2019ve really felt the loss of my own little mo on this holiday, for which I\u2019d spend hours searching for at least a dozen perfect greeting cards for her. Then I\u2019d take another few hours thinking of something clever to write in each, and then figure-out the order in which she should open them. She\u2019d look sooo forward to them every year. (I\u2019d do the same again for her birthday, just a few weeks later.) I was so proud when I cleared-out her house after she became an angel, and discovered that she had kept every…single…one of them! (And that from someone who threw-out all my fabulous, creative schoolwork as soon as each grade was over!)<\/p>\n
So, if the isolation situation is preventing you from seeing your own mother this year, I suggest you take a page out of my book. It\u2019s most likely too late to send her a bunch of thoughtful cards, but there are tons of surprises everywhere to still be had.
