<\/a>Lady and the Tramp. (AKA Karen and Mr. X.)<\/p><\/div>\n
We usually just low-key it. I think, for some reason, we got each other a stupid little gift this year, but that\u2019s highly unusual. The one he got me is because…it didn\u2019t show up in time for my January 14th birthday, (which was exactly a month ago,) so when it arrived late, he decided to save it for today. And when I<\/em> learned he had a little sumpin\u2019 sumpin\u2019 for me<\/em>, I saved an item I had just gotten for him<\/em> last week, for no reason. But now I held it back so he\u2019d have a present to open today. (Aren\u2019t we thoughtful?!)<\/p>\n I wonder if we\u2019re going that extra Mr. X and I might just do that! I\u2019m starting off the day by making him some very healthful (I mean it!,) Valentine’s pancakes. The recipe doesn\u2019t call for anything red<\/em> in there, but I\u2019ll be adding some raspberries to the top, just for fun. (I\u2019m going to try to publish my recipe for you on February 25th, which is National Pancake Day this year. I promise you\u2014it\u2019s a good one!)<\/p>\n What I hope to look up at the sky and see today!<\/p><\/div>\n Then we have errands to do, so when I ran down the day\u2019s schedule for him, I slipped \u201cgo to lunch\u201d in there. He hates going out to eat. (Not because he\u2019s at all thrifty. He\u2019s the opposite in fact. He\u2019d just rather pick-up food from restaurants, and pay their full dine-in prices<\/em>, complete with twenty percent tip!, and eat it in the comfort of our own home. How did we ever get together???) So going to lunch would be a Valentine\u2019s Day sacrifice on his part. He heard me subtly listing it in our day\u2019s activities, so I offered to just drive-thru a fast food place for some crappy food I\u2019ve been craving, but he nixed that idea, thank goodness. So, we\u2019ll be off to lunch, as well!!! (Or maybe only<\/em>; perhaps I should scrap my pancake-making plan altogether today! Why slave over a hot stove when I don\u2019t need to! So now<\/em>, Happy Valentine’s Day to me<\/em>!)<\/p>\nmile<\/del> yard today because this<\/em> year, Valentine\u2019s Day is on a Friday! That means that people have the entire week-end to celebrate! Woo-hoo!<\/p>\n<\/a>
