FOR FATHER\u2019S DAY: BALLPARK CLASSICS BASEBALL GAME<\/h1>\n

He would have loved this wonderful Ballpark Classics stand-up baseball game. It\u2019s the most perfect male gift I\u2019ve ever found! It\u2019s great for everybody, but especially for dads. (Because don\u2019t we like to give them something that the whole family can enjoy? Isn\u2019t that an unwritten dad rule?)<\/p>\n And for me, because I absolutely looove baseball. (Yes, I know it\u2019s a slow game to watch on TV, but that just means you don\u2019t have to pay attention to every single second of it, and can actually go though piling-up papers and emails while watching the games.)<\/p>\n We all get to participate with the Ballpark Classics game. When I saw it at the suite, I stopped in my tracks. It was that<\/em> mouth-watering. I really did kind-of have that feeling of when you first walk into a real stadium and you get that first glimpse of the green field. That sight still takes my breath away just a little.<\/p>\n The creator of the game, Doug Strom, is as crazy about baseball as I am. I used to have two guy friends who were, but they went by the wayside. So, I was thrilled to get taught how to play this game directly by Doug, who\u2019s a master at pitching. For those of you who haven\u2019t been lucky enough to meet Doug, (which is actually most<\/em> of you,) the instructions teach you how to throw every kind of ball. [I originally had an observation on spitballs here, but it was just too double entendre, even for me. So use your imagination and chuckle anyway.]<\/p>\n This newcomer to the family of rec room (or man cave) games is easy enough to have fun with, and challenging enough to get your competitive juices flowing. It\u2019s like a pinball game, but with pitching and hand-eye coordination being paramount. And the best part is that it doesn\u2019t require batteries or electricity; it\u2019s self-contained and is table-top so it\u2019s also portable. (There are optional legs available.)<\/p>\n I\u2019m thrilled that they have a Yankees Stadium edition, of course. (Yes, I\u2019m a fan of both the Yankees and <\/em>the Mets. The only time that\u2019s been a problem for me was during the Subway World Series of 2000. That was painful all around.) They also have one of evil Fenway Park. But the generic one comes with stickers and pennants of all the different ballparks so you can personalize yours. Just don\u2019t put the stickers in the line of the pitches because you want the ball to come down smoothly. I may have to let mine interfere, though, because my pitching is still a little shaky, so I need all the excuses I can get.<\/p>\n Play Ball!!!<\/p>\n \u3000<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n When you give someone a gift certificate for a facial, that\u2019s a one-time gift. If you instead gift a facial tool<\/em>, you\u2019re giving something that can be used over and over again.
