HAPPY\u00a0PASSOVER AND EASTER 2019\u2014TOGETHER AGAIN!<\/h1>\n

As rare as it is that Passover and Easter happen exactly in a row, those Spring holidays happened like that\u00a0last<\/em>\u00a0year, too!\u00a0 And also in 2015.\u00a0 I don\u2019t remember any other years like these since I was a teen out here in LA for the first time.\u00a0 Those three days and nights were magical; everyone was so good to me, which I still appreciate after all these years.\u00a0 I had been in town for only about eight months, but already had made enough good friends that I was included in both seders at different parents\u2019 homes, and one of the best Easters ever at another\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\"29597995_941117669388011_3853577893766881513_n\"<\/a>The triple-holidays dates\u00a0since<\/em>\u00a0then have never been as fun\u00a0ensemble<\/em>, but some are still fun individually<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I expect to have another fabulous Easter this year at the Malibu home of Stephen Cordrey, who is being especially kind to host once again, because his stunning property was negatively affected by the recent fires.\u00a0 No one would have blamed him for\u00a0passing-over\u00a0the fete this year.\u00a0 (Get it?\u00a0 Passing-over.\u00a0 Passover.)\u00a0 So I thank him for his generosity in advance.<\/p>\n

I was actually due to be on the east coast right now, driving up the coast from Florida to New York with one of my homies, Lauren.\u00a0 But I realized that we would be on the road for both holidays. Even though I\u2019d be with one of my besties, I think I would have felt lonely without big, traditional celebrations.<\/p>\n

\"passover-nl1303\"<\/a>That concern most likely dates back to what was inarguably my worst Passover in my life!\u00a0 It happened in Florida (so, that<\/em> state factors in again!,) when I was a teen, the year before I came out here to LA and had those\u00a0happy<\/em>\u00a0holidays I mentioned above.\u00a0 I was there with my best friend for Spring Break, but she allowed the idiot guy we were staying with to bring just\u00a0her<\/em>\u00a0to his parents house for a seder.\u00a0\u00a0Of course\u00a0<\/em>she should have said she\u2019s not going without me, which I assume she always feels bad about.\u00a0 (Yes, we\u2019re still great friends, after all these years!\u00a0 And I doubt she would ever flat-leave me like that again!)\u00a0 I\u2019ve been in that state only two times since then, and my straight tresses and I are just as happy to\u00a0never<\/em>\u00a0set foot in it again. (\u201cMonica in the Bahamas\u201d is not<\/em> my best look!)<\/p>\n

\"Untitled-collage-1560x900\"<\/a>Getting off that sad subject, here\u2019s<\/em> something interesting about this time of year, which just hit me for the first time ever.\u00a0 Despite that I\u00a0love\u00a0<\/em>both holidays, they have something in common that I absolutely\u00a0detest<\/em>!\u00a0 No, rudesters, it is\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>religion.\u00a0 Have any of you figured it out yet?\u00a0 Ready?\u00a0 It\u2019s\u2026e-words<\/em>!!!\u00a0 Ugh.\u00a0 (Of course, Easter has colorful, candy, and chocolate e-words, while Passover has disgusting\u00a0real\u00a0<\/em>ones on the seder plate.)\u00a0 How did it take me so long to realize that?!\u00a0 And why did it finally occur to me just this very second, of every one in my whole long (knock on wood) life???\u00a0 (Perhaps it\u2019s because Mr. X just made himself some e-word whites while I\u2019m writing this, and the stench is making me sick.\u00a0 I actually think that\u2019s it!)<\/p>\n

Okay, so that\u2019s my potpourri of thoughts to commemorate these hopefully happy 2019 occasions.<\/p>\n

No matter how\u00a0you\u00a0<\/em>guys celebrate, either or both, I wish you great times.\u00a0 And, of course, good food!!!<\/p>\n
