This past month was such a juicy one for Celeb Sightings that I had to let you know about all of them before we get into\u00a0another<\/em>\u00a0month. They began right off the bat this year, on New Year\u2019s Day!<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s hurry and get started:<\/p>\n

1\/1\/19\u00a0<\/strong> This was such a fun one that I wish I had gotten a pic of it!\u00a0 But it was at a private brunch at someone\u2019s home in Playa Vista, so I didn\u2019t want to intrude on anyone.\u00a0 It was a reunion of television series regulars Ray Buktenica <\/strong>and Paul Michael Glaser<\/strong>, who starred together back in the day in the TV movie,\u00a0Wait Till Your Mother Gets Home<\/em>.\u00a0 I loved listening in on their confab about those fun times.<\/p>\n

1\/4\/19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong> Dancing With The Stars<\/em> pro Anna Trebunskaya<\/strong>, Green Book\u2019<\/em>s Linda Cardellini<\/strong>, and rapper Soulja Boy<\/strong>, having fun at the Secret Room Events Golden Globe Gifting Lounge in Century City, (although not together.) 1\/8\/19\u00a0 Rami Malek<\/strong>, who had just won a Golden Globe two days before, speaking after a big screening of the film he won for, Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em>, in West L.A.<\/p>\n

1\/10\/19\u00a0 Michelle Yeoh <\/strong>and Harry Shum, Jr.<\/strong> doing the Q-and-A after a screening of\u00a0Crazy Rich Asians<\/em>\u00a0in West Hollywood.\u00a0 It was weird because Harry is on screen only about two seconds at the very end of the film, (during the credits even!,)\u00a0yet he\u2019s involved in so much publicity for that film.\u00a0 That is, indeed,\u00a0crazy<\/em>!<\/p>\n

1\/11\/19<\/strong>\u00a0 I bumped right into Edward James Olmos<\/strong> at the Van Nuys DMV, of all places!\u00a0 (I\u2019ll tell you all about my getting-my-new-drivers-license-pic shenanigans in my next YouTube video.\u00a0 You won\u2019t believe it!\u00a0 Or maybe, actually, you\u00a0will<\/em>!)<\/p>\n

1\/12\/19\u00a0 Spike Lee, John David Washington, Adam Driver, <\/strong>and Topher Grace<\/strong> speaking after an industry screening of their film,\u00a0BlacKkKlansman<\/em>,\u00a0in West Hollywood.\u00a0 You\u2019ll never guess which one of those men was the only entertaining one.\u00a0 Ready?\u00a0 It was\u2026Topher!\u00a0 He was actually a riot.\u00a0 The others were a snoozefest, especially Adam.\u00a0 But Spike was great afterwards, mingling at the after-party and taking pix with just about everyone who asked, some even pretty rudely. [Note: That big photo at the top of this page, taken by Karen Salkin, is of Spike Lee high-fiving John David Washington and Adam Driver,\u00a0with Topher Grace right behind him.]<\/p>\n

1\/12\/19\u00a0 Glenn Close<\/strong> speaking (very charmingly) after a screening of her film,\u00a0The Wife<\/em>, in West Hollywood.\u00a0 (Yes, you read that right\u2014I did<\/em> go to two<\/em> screenings of major motion pictures in one day\u2026and at the same venue!\u00a0 Oysh.\u00a0 In two different outfits with two different pals! With a brief stop at home in-between to change. I\u2019m tired just thinking about it.)<\/p>\n

1\/14\/19\u00a0<\/strong> What a wonderful birthday gift to me!\u00a0 After a screening in West LA of my new favorite film of the year,\u00a0Green Book<\/em>, star Viggo Mortensen<\/strong> spoke.\u00a0 Delightfully, I might add.<\/p>\n

1\/15\/19<\/strong>\u00a0 Two famous Davids<\/strong>, Arquette <\/strong>and Steinberg<\/strong>, at a screening of a short film presentation in Beverly Hills. The former is in<\/em> the production, but I could not for the life of me figure-out what the latter was doing there. (And probably he me<\/em>!)<\/p>\n

1\/16\/19\u00a0<\/strong> Current TV show stars Eric McCormick<\/strong> (of\u00a0Will and Grace<\/em>) and Liza Weil<\/strong> (of\u00a0How To Get Away With Murder<\/em>) at the opening night of the play\u00a0Linda Vista<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0at the Mark Taper Forum in downtown L.A. (Here\u2019s my review of that still-running show: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/theatre-linda-vista<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\"Sam<\/a>

1\/17\/19\u00a0 Sam Elliott<\/strong> doing the Q-and-A after a late-season screening of\u00a0A Star is Born<\/em>, in West Hollywood. He was entertaining enough, but I still don\u2019t get why women of a certain age have always been so gaga over him. (See what I did there? Gaga\u2014A Star Is Born<\/em>?)<\/p>\n

1\/23\/19\u00a0<\/strong> I saved the best for last. (Really only because it happened<\/em> last.) I bumped right into James Franco<\/strong> and his young girlfriend at the box office at The Wallis in Beverly Hills on opening night of their new presentation,\u00a0An Inspector Calls<\/em>.\u00a0 And then they wound-up sitting right behind Mr. X and me!\u00a0 But they left before the after-party.\u00a0 I had assumed he was friends with someone in the cast, but his early exit made me think I was wrong. (The show is currently running, so here\u2019s my review, in case you missed it: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/theatre-linda-vista<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

With the Oscars and Grammys coming up later this<\/em> month, with all the attendant fetes and gifting suites, along with several opening nights, February holds some promise for even more excellent Celeb Sightings.
