<\/a>Maybe because of that, there seem to have been festivities for it all\u00a0month<\/em> this year, rather than on just one day. Or week-end. No one seems to really know\u00a0when<\/em>\u00a0to celebrate!<\/p>\nI had planned to be in New York for Halloween again this year because I had such a fabulous entire October there two years ago. But alas, LA would not let me get away this time. But\u00a0this<\/em>\u00a0fair city decided to give NYC a run for its Halloween money this whole month, and it came in a close second. (If you want to understand why it was such\u00a0fun on the East Coast in 2016, just\u00a0read this: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/holiday-happy-halloween-2016<\/a>.)<\/p>\n And then I also finally saw\u00a0The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/em>\u00a0on a big screen, at the same venue. (For this who don\u2019t know, even though \u201cChristmas\u201d is in the title, it\u2019s really more about Halloween. And you can still see it there tonight<\/em>! In 4D!!!) (Here\u2019s my review, to help you make-up your mind: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/theatre-the-woman-in-black.<\/a>)<\/p>\n Also,\u00a0The Hollywood Museum opened their \u201cmovie monsters make-up\u201d exhibition, (which runs all the way through to the end of the year; you can read all about it here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/partyart-30-years-of-make-up-monsters-and-magic-opening-reception<\/a>.)\u00a0 Just choosing the\u00a0pictures\u00a0<\/em>of it for my review of the opening night party gave me nightmares! (And isn\u2019t that one of the purposes of Halloween?!)<\/p>\n And, of course there\u2019s always trick-or-treating, pumpkin patches, and haunted hay rides. And, shockingly for my<\/em> carnivorous self, I\u2019ll be at a vegan pot luck Halloween fete tonight! And I\u2019ve had my nails polished black and orange since this past week-end, of course. I\u2019ve been rocking some of my Halloween jewelry for even longer than that.<\/p>\n No matter what you<\/em> do to celebrate today and tonight, I wish you all a super-fun, super-safe, and super-Happy Halloween!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2018 As I previously pointed-out when this situation arose in 2012, it\u2019s always a tad disappointing when Halloween falls in the middle of the week. Wednesday is absolutely the worst day for this fun \u201choliday\u201d to occur on. (You can read my review of that event here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/eventmovie-review-coco-at-the-el-capitan<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>And then there\u2019s the site-specific interactive theater experience,\u00a0Se\u00f1or Plummer\u2019s Final Fiesta<\/a>, in a park in WeHo. I understand that it’s a spooky tale involving ghosts.\u00a0It\u00a0runs for a few more week-ends, when I\u2019ll<\/em> finally have the opportunity to see it. (So maybe I\u2019ll see some of you there.)<\/p>\n
