GBK 2018 TEEN CHOICE AWARDS GIFTING LOUNGE<\/h1>\n

What better place to throw an event in honor of the Teen Choice Awards than at teen favorite hang-out Dave & Buster\u2019s?! Of course, GBK is the gifting lounge that came up with that inspired idea. They always choose the most creative, different venues for their events, and this one was just perfect for all concerned, especially the kids. (And me<\/em>!)<\/p>\n

Roz, my contributing writer on this one, said, \u201cGBK always<\/em> puts on a high-energy experience, but when you couple that with the Hollywood & Highland location of Dave and Buster\u2019s, it feels like you just entered a fast-action video game, and are winning all the points!\u201d<\/p>\n

They provided the food, as well, with a buffet of several of their famous finger foods. At one point, Roz nudged me and said, \u201cThat guy must love ribs,\u201d so I looked over, and one teen had a plateful of about twenty ribs, and nothing else! That made us laugh. But I don\u2019t blame him\u2014those ribs were de-lish!!! I was glad that GBK was thoughtful enough to also include a cheese and crackers platter and a crudite one, for the grown-ups and vegetarians. Roz was very<\/em> grateful for it!<\/p>\n

I could have just eaten those tasty tidbits all day long, but, since this was<\/em> a gifting lounge, let\u2019s get to the highlights of all the gifts!<\/p>\n

Ike’s Place<\/strong>–Speaking of food, since the lounge site was providing it this time, Ike\u2019s didn\u2019t bring their absolute delicious sandwiches, that I practically live on in private life! But they generously gave out their colorful tee-shirts, and everyone was happy to meet Ike in person. www.ilikeikesplace.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Razor<\/strong>\u2014The gifts for this company are far from \u201cfor teens only!\u201d I told my krump-dancing bae about their brand-new motorized Turbo Jetts, which fit right over ordinary sneakers to give them super-powers, in hopes that he\u2019ll incorporate them into some of his already-amazing dance moves, and they\u2019ll become the hit of the krump world. (So, remember, when you see it on TV that it was my<\/em> idea!) They were also gifting their multi-sport helmets, which Roz got creative about, too. She said, \u201cI recently learned that every Southern Californian should have a sturdy helmet on hand, in case of a big earthquake.\u201d And if you\u2019re Turbo Jetting during it\u2014double purpose!!! www.razor.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Ezequiels Healing Tools<\/strong>\u2014These gifts were very popular because who doesn\u2019t need some healing these days?! The mini pyramids are designed to bring us positive energy, and Roz says their \u201cbeautiful natural stones\u201d also make them \u201cdazzling to look at.\u201d Each one is created to manifest different reactions within each of us, such as courage and empowerment. Roz told me, \u201cI think the purple one already made me feel great, right on-site!\u201d www.ezequielshealingtools.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Heads or Tails Pup<\/strong>\u2014This mother\/daughter duo left high-powered careers to bring us adorable pet clothing, collars, and accessories that are made from recycled materials, and, as Roz stated, \u201care so cute\u201d and \u201ctrendy, for modern pet owners.\u201d We both love that their dog necklaces are made from\u00a0beautiful natural stones, some of which, Roz noted, have special healing qualities. The best part to me is that they have another company, Two Hearts, which makes corresponding bracelets for people<\/em>! Oh Boy<\/strong>\u2014This lovely sponsor was gifting adorable shirts and beautiful hand-painted kids\u2019 shorts, and some tops for adults, as well, to bring awareness to their cause\u2014supporting the JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. They have a personal connection with that charity because their young son has the disease. Along with whichever item of apparel each guest chose, they received a card with the warnings signs of Type I Diabetes, which is really helpful. www.ohboycrew.com<\/a><\/p>\n

My Intent<\/strong>\u2014I\u2019ve had one of these simple-but-important pendants for years now, and never take it off! So I was thrilled for Roz to receive one. Each guest choose the one word that\u2019s most important to have manifested in his or her life, and they engrave it onto the circle for you. And this time, they even had a choice of colors and chains! I\u2019ve seen most people request words such as \u201cFame,\u201d \u201cFortune,\u201d \u201cWealth,\u201d \u201cStardom,\u201d and others along those shallow lines. (But hey, whatever works for them!) This might surprise some of you, but I chose \u201cHealth\u201d all those years ago, and I\u2019m sticking with it! Roz came-up with \u201cMore Love\u201d as her \u201cway of supporting hope.\u201d (Okay, that\u2019s two<\/em> words, so maybe next time, she should use \u201cMath\u201d as what she needs most in her life!) PhatMojo<\/strong>\u2014The kid guests were all gaga over these Bendy and the Ink Machine bendy toys! But, just in case that particular cartoon was not their cup of tea, some Duck Tales characters were also on hand to amuse the gang. 3D Cheeze<\/strong>\u2014This specialty photo booth was putting each guest\u2019s image on his or her choice of a luggage tag or magnet. And they were holograms, to boot! Roz was flying to New York in a matter of hours, so she was thrilled to receive the former because, as she said, \u201cThis insures that no one will touch my luggage by mistake ever again!\u201d www.3dcheeze.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Beauty Kitchen<\/strong>\u2014I\u2019ve<\/em> long known of this brand of beauty products, but since Roz was new to it, I\u2019ll let her give you the skinny on this<\/em> crop. She says that it\u2019s \u201cgreat smelling, all-natural skin care, which is perfect for vegans and content-conscious consumers. The Pumpkin Enzyme Peel Mask smells delicious, just like pumpkin pie, so you have to remind yourself not to eat it. (Or last<\/em>, depending on which direction the guests went upon entering the private lounge room.) Each kid got to spin a colorful wheel, and win a stuffed animal, game, or candy.
