CannaSpa organizer, and Culinary and Cannabis CEO, Tamara Anderson, is also a nurse, so, of course she presented an event that has wellness<\/em> at the forefront. I\u2019ve actually seen her business savvy grow over the years and many events, and now Cannaspa has definitely arrived as a gifting suite to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n As the name indicates, most of the gifts and services are either cannabis-infused or pertain to the herb in some way, which seemed to be just fine with all the guests. It was definitely an upbeat group! [Note: You don\u2019t have to be someone who indulges in cannabis to enjoy the benefits. I\u2019ve been medically disallowed from smoking or ingesting it for almost three years now, but I totally get benefits from using the oils and creams.]<\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n This was a perfect event.\u00a0 Everyone was smiling and happy all day, guests and sponsors alike, and the mingling was off the charts! This was more like a real fun party than a work activity for me! My contributing writer on this one, Carolyn, was a gifting suite virgin, so she\u2019s now spoiled, as far as events like this go. She was very impressed with everything about this venture, saying, \u201cThere was so much going on there! It was a lovely and interesting group of people, both the guests and the sponsors. I was overwhelmed with all the products and the scope of the event. It was so timely and diverse, with all of the unusual cannabis products and the methods to use them. Bravo to all involved.\u201d\u00a0I<\/em> add only\u2014what she<\/em> said!<\/p>\n This was the kind-of suite we absolutely love\u2014it was spa<\/em>\u00a0services<\/em>\u00a0heavy! And there were taste treats, beverages, and gifts along the way. What wasn\u2019t<\/em> to love?! (And Mr. X was thrilled, too, although he wasn’t even there; cannabis-infused products are small enough gifts that I didn\u2019t have to clutter-up our house with them! We had our choice of a chair massage or one lying on the table. Guess which one we choose? The table, of course, which, although these were billed as \u201cmini\u201d massages, was the more luxurious type. It was the perfect way to start off! Carolyn said Karen has \u201cgreat strength and calm,\u201d and found the experience, complete with cannabis-infused oils, to be \u201csoothing and peaceful.\u201d I agree, but I was more into the healing<\/em> of it, of which I was greatly in need! I had erroneously been told that that practice was not<\/em> hands-on, but Silvana Zamara put her hands on certain points of my body, without moving them, as a masseuse does. I so appreciated that she told me that I\u2019m holding on to lots of stress…in my stomach! I seriously think that\u2019s the reason that area is not\u2014how shall I put it\u2014as petite as it used to be! So this experience really helped me. Carolyn had one, too, and said, \u201cThe Reiki treatment was very relaxing and soothing to me.\u00a0I found it to be extremely enjoyable, and it left me with a peaceful feeling. As soon as she finished working on my right hand, Jackie exclaimed, \u201cYou have to start letting people do things for you<\/em>!\u201d I can\u2019t believe that she could figure that all out from just five tense phalanges!!! I explained that Mr. X does everything<\/em> for me, but I\u2019m pretty sure she was talking about my pals<\/em>, for whom the concept of giving back is foreign. Oh well. But, as I happily pointed-out, she<\/em> had just done something for me! Carolyn had one, too, and told me she \u201ccould feel the aches and pains just disappear.\u201d She said that she \u201chated to have it end,\u201d and that Jackie had \u201csuch a marvelous spirit, which made the massage even better!\u201d<\/p>\n Rocio Bonilla giving a guest a facial. She explained each step as she went along, and Carolyn deemed her talk to be \u201cknowledgeable, concise, and not at all preachy,\u201d as many an esthetician can be. And I had not even asked her to talk to me like I\u2019m a blonde!!! We really appreciated both her work and her being, in general, with Carolyn saying that Rocio has a \u201cvery healing touch.\u201d When I got home, Mr. X said I looked \u201cglowing and super-moist,\u201d so even he<\/em> noticed the great work she did! (And actually, he was still complimenting my skin three days later!) We left there with what Rocio called \u201cdeluxe samples<\/em>,\u201d but they\u2019re bigger than many\u00a0full-sized<\/em>\u00a0products these days! That\u2019s such a pleasure, so you know if it\u2019s the kind of herb oil that gives you pep or puts you to sleep! And the sleek pens are the perfect size for easy carrying. \u201cMozen\u201d means \u201cbalance\u201d in Hebrew, and I\u2019m sure all the busy guests at this suite need exactly that! Carolyn added that she \u201cespecially liked the presentation and the sleek packaging,\u201d which is always a bonus. Mr. X tried their \u201cSeize The Day\u201d pen right away, and has been writing prolifically ever since! The company gave each guest a bag full of helpful cannabis-infused items, such as a tin of blood orange herbal tea, a lavender bath bomb, (so now maybe I\u2019ll finally get some sleep,) and \u201cextended wellness creams\u201d in two different strengths of CBD. Carolyn, who told me she\u2019s been \u201cexperiencing a number of painful areas in my body,\u201d said the 400 mg. one was \u201csurprisingly effective.\u201d\u00a0 www.cannabiniers.com<\/a><\/p>\n Nombaone<\/strong>\u2014They were gifting their Muscle Jelly, which is made with naturally-occurring broad spectrum hemp oil. Carolyn used their Meraki Intense Pain Balm right away, and said it\u2019s \u201creally amazing!\u201d She also noted that the two team members who were on-site that day, Shiloh and Terrence, were \u201cextremely helpful and gracious,\u201d an assessment with which I totally concur. Carolyn tried the Blueberry for relaxation, and said it was \u201cfull of flavor,\u201d and more importantly, “it left me\u00a0feeling a little happier than before I drank it!\u201d I guess that<\/em> one exactly served it\u2019s purpose! (I did not.) There was delicious grilled shrimp, and a corn salad I could not stop eating all day! Carolyn, a self-proclaimed \u201c salad dressing snob,\u201d said this one was \u201camazing.\u201d They also served a unique watermelon gazpacho, which she described as \u201cvery refreshing.\u201d This table was quite the hit with us. And probably everyone else, too!<\/p>\n Chef Matt<\/strong>\u2014I\u2019ve met this chef before, so I perked right up to see him again because I knew we were in for a taste treat! This time he cooked cheese tortellini right in front of us, and he was smart enough to put cannabis oil on the individual servings, only for the guests who requested it. Carolyn said it was a \u201cgreat and a very unexpected treat.\u201d (There\u2019s rarely<\/em> freshly-cooked food at gifting suites, hence it was not expected. But I should have known that Tamara would take care of us in that department! We need sustenance to meet and greet!) So CannaSpa featured something for everyone!
