Before I get big into my Celeb Sightings of 2018<\/em>, let\u2019s finish-up the ones from the last two weeks of 2017<\/em>. I had shared so many in my previous CS column (which you can still read here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/celeb-sightings-celeb-sightings-55<\/a>,) that the end of the year was kind-of slow in comparison.<\/p>\n

But let’s see who was still around town for the holidays, and then come into 2018. I already know that I\u2019ll be seeing someone big tonight, as a matter of fact, but you\u2019re just going to have to wait for my next Celeb Sightings to find-out just who he is!<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s go with these fun ones for now:<\/p>\n

\"Ray<\/a>

12\/15\/17 Jane Kaczmarek<\/strong>, who played the mom on Malcolm in the Middle<\/em>, sitting in front of me at the Pasadena Playhouse for the opening night of Miracle on 34th Street<\/em>. Her companion very rudely showed up with her hair piled high on her head, which should be taboo in theatres. But, perhaps at the request of the view-obstructed patrons behind her, she took it down right before the show began.<\/p>\n

12\/16\/17<\/strong> Adorable star of many a TV sitcom, Ray Buktenica<\/strong>, putting a smile on the faces of everyone in the crowd by rocking his fabulous now-famous holiday sweater, at the Pasadena Civic for a performance of the wonderful panto, Beauty and the Beast\u2014A Christmas Rose<\/em>.<\/p>\n

12\/19\/17 Gary Oldman<\/strong> speaking after a screening of his film, The Darkest Hour<\/em>, in West LA. But the star of that session was the very entertaining director, Joe Wright. (I am voting for Gary for the SAG Awards, by the way. What a performance!!!)<\/p>\n

12\/23\/17<\/strong> More a working actor than a celebrity, per se, (but I\u2019m a fan,) Ennis Esmer<\/strong>, (who plays the very entertaining Rich Dotcom on Blindspot<\/em>,) standing right next to us at the way overcrowded Grove in West Hollywood. I was thrilled to see that Mr. X and I weren\u2019t the only people in the public eye who were nutty enough to go there on the super-populated Saturday night before Christmas Eve!!!<\/p>\n

\"Octavia<\/a>

1\/3\/18 Octavia Spencer<\/strong> and Sally Hawkins speaking after an industry screening of their\u00a0film, The Shape of Water<\/em>, in West Hollywood. They were both fun in the Q-and-A, and Sally is wonderful in the film, but, trust me, it really needed Octavia. I felt better whenever she came on the screen in this weird, uncomfortable story.<\/p>\n

1\/4\/18 James Franco<\/strong> in Hollywood, doing a very entertaining Q-and-A after a jam-packed industry screening of his hilarious film, The Disaster Artist<\/em>. Between the fabulous movie, and James\u2019 colorful behind-the-scenes stories, it was one of the best nights of awards season! \u00a0[That’s James in the awful blurry photo at the top of the page, taken by a very far-away Karen Salkin.]<\/p>\n

And, as I always do with awards shows, I\u2019ll be live-tweeting the Golden Globes this Sunday, beginning with the arrivals, which start at 3PM Pacific Time. If you don\u2019t already follow me, this would be a good time to do so\u2014in the case that I say anything earth-shattering, you\u2019ll want to be in on it. @MajorCelebrity.
