I won\u2019t miss it, either, and neither should any of my fellow Angelenos.\u00a0 It\u2019s a fundraiser for the theatre, and is produced by two Magic Castle magicians, Jeanine Anderson and George Tovar.\u00a0 Since the Castle is a private club, which most of you will never get into, (sorry to say that, but it\u2019s true,) this is your one chance all year to see full-on professional magicians at work.\u00a0 And each of the three shows features different line-ups, so if you see all shows, you\u2019ll get your quotient of magic for the whole year!\u00a0 (And you don\u2019t have to dress-up and spend a fortune, both conditions of going to the Magic Castle, even as someone\u2019s guest.)<\/p>\n
If this<\/em> year\u2019s rendition is anything like the previous editions, many of the performers will be amusing, which I love.\u00a0 And I have a feeling they\u2019ll all be as uber-entertaining as their seventeen preceding presentations.<\/p>\n Jeanine Anderson with a trio of kid assistants in a previous show.<\/p><\/div>\n And all of the acts are appropriate for all ages, so bring the kids.\u00a0 They (or\u00a0you<\/em>) might even make it up to the stage to assist one of the magicians.\u00a0 (I always slump down in my seat when they\u2019re scanning the audience for volunteers, because I\u2019d rather watch<\/em> someone else up there than be on stage myself.)<\/p>\n I absolutely love magic when it\u2019s done well, as is always the case with Millennium Magic<\/em>.\u00a0 There\u2019s no other art form like it.\u00a0 And getting to see a variety of magicians in one short afternoon or evening is so special, even to jaded moi.<\/p>\n Here is the schedule of Millennium Magic<\/em> performers, (in addition to Jeanine, who will do brief stints during all three shows, of course,) but please keep in mind that, as with all<\/em> theatre, it\u2019s subject to change:<\/p>\n Friday, November 17 at 8PM<\/strong>\u2013Kayla Drescher, David Regal, David Kovac, and Charlie Mount & Chloe\u2019.<\/p>\n Saturday November 18 (which is Jeanine\u2019s birthday, by the way,) at 8PM<\/strong>\u2013Brandon Scott, George Tovar, Elliot Hofferth, Aaron O’Brian, and Albie Selznick & Co., (whose full show I reviewed earlier this year; you can still read it here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/live-production-magic-monday<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Sunday, November 19 at 2PM<\/strong>\u2013George Tovar, Matt Marcy, Shawn McMaster, and Charlie Mount & Chloe\u2019.<\/p>\n Looks like Jeanine Anderson performed some magic on her co-star’s wallet!<\/p><\/div>\n I wish I could see all three performances, but, as usual, I\u2019m overbooked for the week-end. But, as I stated earlier, I would never miss Millennium Magic<\/em>, so I\u2019m thrilled that I\u2019m getting to go to the Sunday matinee! I\u2019ve done that one before, and I have to tell you that it\u2019s the coziest feeling. This show is the perfect lead-in to the holidays!<\/p>\n I can’t wait, and neither can Lou.
