The reason I want to tell you about Secret Room\u2019s Luxury Lounge right now is that they were so smart to stage it early<\/em> in Emmys Week, so we VIPS could get a jump on the fun. That made it so much easier on us, and I really thank them for that!<\/p>\n I have a feeling that you all know by now how much I love Secret Room\u2019s events, especially when they feature beauty services. And they always<\/em> have the most incredible gift bags anywhere! They continued both of those traditions with this Emmys Lounge.<\/p>\n I also enjoyed that it was an indoor-outdoor event, in a beautiful breeze-filled garden setting and<\/em> the adjacent glass room, at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, a venue I\u2019ve been a fan of for years. Uber-pleasant Kacie O\u2019Brien from the Toni & Guy<\/strong> Academy in Costa Mesa flat-ironed my hair, and then gave me a very sparkly mani, which, thankfully, lasted through all my Emmys activities. As I perused the line, I realized that I need almost every single item they make!!! So now I may have to move Down Under! Oh wait\u2014we can get them in America now\u2014what a luxury! www.freeze-frame.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Lime Crime Cosmetics<\/strong>\u2014I think you all know how much I love make-up and colors, but did you know that I\u2019m also a fan of unicorns<\/em>? (Maybe it\u2019s because the word sounds like \u201cCapricorn,\u201d which is what I am.) This cosmetics company encompasses all<\/em> those areas, so I was fascinated with their pretty tins of mini lipsticks, and, of course, with their fun crazy hair colors that come in a jar! I could have spent the whole day at just their<\/em> table, and been very happy. www.limecrime.com<\/a><\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Old Soles Children\u2019s Shoes<\/strong>\u2014These kids\u2019 shoes from Australia are so fashionable that I wish they made them for grown-ups! (I have small feet, so I was actually thinking of Cinderella\u2019s step-sistering my feet into a pair!) I spent a long time at their display, just admiring the craftsmanship that went into the darling footwear.\u00a0 www.oldsoles.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n OI Feminine Care Products<\/strong>\u2014I have to admit\u2014I didn\u2019t even know what one of these products was!\u00a0 That\u2019s how far feminine care products have come in recent years. The absolutely lovely Kiwi reps explained it all<\/em>, and I could tell that they genuinely want to make this troublesome area of the lives of us femmes so much easier for us. In addition to screen-cleaning items, they also make the Diamond Defense, which creates an invisible layer on your screen to make it a zillion times stronger! I only wish I had it on there a minute or two before, when I dropped it hard while trying to take a picture and snack at the same time! www.whoosh.com<\/a><\/p>\n Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Los Angeles Rams<\/strong>\u2014I absolutely love football season, so seeing clear gift bags of Rams gear gave me a warm feeling. Even better than the official team apparel is an invite for a VIP experience at one of this season’s games! Who wouldn\u2019t love that<\/em>?! www.therams.com<\/a><\/p>\n And, if all that<\/em> wasn\u2019t enough, (which, trust me, it was<\/em>!,) the VIPs each left with a signature Secret Room gift bag full of items one could rarely even imagine!!! Here are just a few of the highlights of the giant, sturdy LL Bean<\/strong> goodie bags:<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Kelly Smile<\/strong>\u2014This high-tech Century City dentist, (whose patient I\u2019ve been a time or two, so it was fun to see her again,) was on-site giving the guests gift cards for a free teeth whitening!
