<\/a>For me, Joe Bologna was more than just a wonderful actor.\u00a0 He also made the absolute best pasta sauce I have ever had in my entire life!\u00a0 Every time I saw him, I begged him to market it, to no avail.\u00a0 He kept the secret to himself, for his and his family\u2019s own special occasions, which he had every right to do.\u00a0 But I think all fans of his many works, (especially two of Mr. X\u2019s favorite films,\u00a0The Big Bus <\/em>[photo to the left]\u00a0and My Favorite Year<\/em>,) are just grateful that Joe shared his\u00a0comedic<\/em>\u00a0talents with us.<\/p>\n<\/a>Joe Bologna on the left, and his wife, Renee Taylor, on the right (with an interloper in-between them,) walking into an Oscar luncheon in 2015. Of course, I\u2019ve always<\/em> known of Joe Bologna.\u00a0 Such a funny actor.\u00a0 But when I met him, I was even more impressed.\u00a0 I had been invited to a pizza party at the home he shared with his beloved wife, Renee Taylor, to celebrate an Emmy nomination for her.\u00a0 He was so proud about that.\u00a0 Actually, they were always so proud of\u00a0each other<\/em>. \u00a0 I\u2019ve always admired them for being so entwined.\u00a0 I can\u2019t\u00a0even imagine one of them without the other. They were such a team, one I lauded many times in my Celeb Sightings columns. I bumped into them often around Los Angeles, even as recently as May of this year, when I helped them as they walked into a Beverly Hills deli. I can\u2019t believe that that was the last time that I\u2019ll ever see Joe Bologna.<\/p>\n
