MY ANNIVERSARY WITH LOS ANGELES, FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME!<\/h1>\n

Even after all these years, my anniversary with Los Angeles is still special to me. I love this town!<\/p>\n

\"Pacific<\/a>

Pacific Coast Highway, the route I took down to LA.<\/p><\/div>\n

When people complain about it, I suggest they leave. And make more room for the rest of us, who are happy to be here.<\/p>\n

The very first places I experienced when I arrived in town as a teen-ager were Pacific Coast Highway, (the image of which, with its beautiful flowers along the median, made me relax right away,) and then right to Westwood Village, an area I\u2019ve never moved far away from.<\/p>\n

I actually spent a day in Westwood recently, with an old friend from here who\u2019s since moved away. He was lamenting that it\u2019s not the hub of activity it used to be when we were kids. But I still see it through those teen-age eyes, and Westwood can do no wrong for me.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all the time I have for singing L.A.\u2019s praises today. I have to go celebrate my anniversary with my fabulous city now!<\/p>\n

And to continue the festivities, I think I\u2019ll take tomorrow<\/em> off, to make this a three-day holiday (for me<\/em>) week-end. I\u2019ll meet you all back here on Monday.<\/p>\n
