SALON KAZUMI ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY SOIREE<\/h1>\n

Alice and I were very happy to join the attractive crowd who gathered in Beverly Hills last week to wish Kazumi a very happy first year anniversary of her salon on Little Santa Monica.\u00a0 (We \u201cK\u201d girls have to stick together!)\u00a0 We met her right away, and she was lovely.\u00a0 And she has good hair herself, which I was happy to see.\u00a0 (I hate it when someone does not represent their field of expertise well.\u00a0 For example, a hair stylist who has bad hair, or a manicurist who has bad nails, or a wardrobe stylist who cannot dress, or\u2014the worst one\u2014a dentist who has bad teeth!\u00a0 So that\u2019s why I was so glad to see that Kazumi has it all<\/em> going on!)<\/p>\n

As we entered the party, we were greeted with flutes of champagne, (or, in my case, spring water,) and then Alice and I explored the lovely two-floor salon.\u00a0 When we were upstairs looking down, the assemblage looked like guests at a festive occasion in a movie!<\/p>\n

A female DJ kept the beat going all night, (girl power,) which added to the fun vibe.\u00a0 I have to give her props for keeping the music at the perfect volume for us to all move and groove while still being able to hear each other!<\/p>\n

We appreciated that most guests dressed-up a bit for the occasion; they all looked great, whether they were rocking a cocktail dress and stilettos, or skinny jeans and strappy sandals. And that was just the guys<\/em>!\u00a0 (I\u2019m totally joking there\u2014just seeing if you\u2019re paying attention.\u00a0 But the men did<\/em> look appropriate, as well.)<\/p>\n

Delicious and interesting homemade hors d\u2019oeuvres kept coming all night.\u00a0 My favorites were chicken meatballs, and burrata cheese on thick cucumber slices, while Alice favored the pear and blue cheese crostini, and cream cheese and lox on toast.<\/p>\n

Along the way, we mingled with the eclectic crowd.\u00a0 There was even a wandering magician to entertain us.\u00a0 (I think he was actually just an eccentric guest, but he certainly provided some amusement.)<\/p>\n

As if all of that wasn\u2019t wonderful enough, certain VIPs left with goodie bags of hair products, (from among the many brands featured at the salon,) to correspond with their hair type.\u00a0 I asked Kazumi to choose for me, and she recommended the duo for sleek, smooth hair, which is what I pride myself on usually having.\u00a0 Alice, who eschews conditioner, received a system with a hair serum instead.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait to return to Salon Kazumi in a couple of weeks to have them refresh my color and trim my waist-length tresses.\u00a0 Since, as I mentioned before, Kazumi looks good herself, I already trust her.\u00a0 And you know that I\u2019ll share the entire experience with you, complete with pictures of my new locks, of course!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
