I\u2019m just getting over a month\u2019s worth of pneumonia, so, unless a celebrity was appearing in my sick room, I haven\u2019t spied any in that time.<\/p>\n

But, there was a lot of activity for the first two months of the year, (especially during the Oscars,) which I haven\u2019t had time to tell you about before, so here goes with those. (My favorite one was on February 9th! Loved it!)<\/p>\n

1\/4\/17 Viggo Mortensen<\/strong> in Beverly Hills, not only speaking<\/em> before and after a private screening of his film, Captain Fantastic<\/em>, but also chatting-up the guests at the after-party! (He told us all that he had a cold, though, so we could stay away, if we chose. And I did! You don\u2019t have to warn me twice about germs these days!!!)<\/p>\n

1\/6\/17 Riley Smith<\/strong>, the male star of CW\u2019s on-the-bubble-to-be-cancelled show Frequency<\/em>, (he also appeared in a six-episode arc on Nashville<\/em>, as an a-hole,) in Beverly Hills at the Secret Room Golden Globes Suite. I love an actor who has such an easy name to type! 1\/7\/17<\/strong> Perennial nice guy, Tommy Chong<\/strong>, having a blast in Hollywood at the GBK Gifting Suite in honor of the Golden Globes. (You can read about that whole event here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/gifting-suite-gbk-pre-golden-globes-lounge-2017<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

1\/9\/17<\/strong> The occasion was totally sad, but it was good to see a couple of celebs show up to pay their respects to Mark Taper Forum founder, Gordon Davidson, at his memorial in downtown LA. I spied Beau Bridges<\/strong> sitting near me, and I\u2019m proud that my pal, Jason Ritter<\/strong>, was there representing the young \u2019uns.<\/p>\n

1\/29\/17<\/strong> Old school TV star, (does anyone remember Starsky and Hutch<\/em>?,) Paul Michael Glaser<\/strong> at the beautiful Malibu brunch at Arthaus, the stunning home of gown designer Sue Wong<\/strong>. 1\/31\/17<\/strong> This one was very exciting\u2014Motown greats Smokey Robinson <\/strong>and Berry Gordy, Jr.<\/strong>, walking down the aisle right next to me at the Los Angeles opening night of their Broadway tour show, Motown, The Musical<\/em>. I\u2019ve met them both a ton of times before, especially Smokey, but they are always uber-exciting to witness in person. 2\/9\/17<\/strong> My old pal, Arsenio Hall<\/strong>, in West Hollywood, at a party during Grammys Week. We hadn\u2019t seen each other in years, and the look on his face when he spied me is something that I will always remember! (I also bumped into Cuba Gooding, Jr.<\/strong> on my way out, but that was so anti-climactic, after my reunion with Arsenio.) 2\/10\/17<\/strong> Rapper Bre-Z<\/strong>, who plays Freda Gatz on Empire<\/em>, in Hollywood at the Girlfriends and Champagne suite. (Yes, I do<\/em> know that she\u2019s not really a celebrity<\/em>, per se, but rather a working actor\/rapper. But she\u2019s on a big show, so I\u2019m sure many of you know who she is.) 2\/11\/17 Marsai Martin<\/strong>, the little girl from Black-ish<\/em>, at GBK\u2019s Grammys Suite in Beverly Hills. (You can read about the whole event here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/gifting-suites-gbk-grammys-lounge-2017<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2\/14\/17 Edward James Olmos<\/strong>, along with so many past cast members of Zoot Suit<\/em>, at the opening of the latest version of the iconic play at the Taper in downtown LA. And they were all siting right next to me<\/em>!!! (You can read my full review here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/theatre-zoot-suit<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2\/15\/17<\/strong> Perennial songster Stephen Bishop<\/strong> at a (not serious-condition kind-of) doctor\u2019s office in Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

2\/22\/17<\/strong> Before the show began on opening night of Fun Home<\/em> at the Ahmanson in downtown LA, I saw Aubrey Anderson-Emmons<\/strong>, the little girl who plays Lily on Modern Family,<\/em>\u00a0and then at the valet parking area afterwards, there was Happy Day<\/em>\u2019s Marion Ross<\/strong>. What an interesting juxtaposition: two females, both from family sitcoms, one way in the past and the other in the very present! Loving it. 2\/23\/17<\/strong> There were several fun sightings at Doris Bergman\u2019s Beverly Hills luncheon and gifting suite for the Oscars. From Dancing With The Stars<\/em>, female pro dancers Karina Smirnoff<\/strong> and Edyta Slawinskaya<\/strong>, (who still has the best body I\u2019ve ever seen!,) actor (and former nominee) Bruce Dern<\/strong>, and my own good friend, and nominee this<\/em> year for producing Hacksaw<\/em> Ridge<\/em>, David Permut<\/strong>, who\u2019s just adorable. 2\/24\/17<\/strong> At Debbie Durkin\u2019s brunch and gifting suite for the Oscars, right in the heart of Beverly Hills, I saw Beau Bridges and\u00a0Lonnie Chavis<\/strong>, who plays young Randall on This Is Us<\/em>, right after I had a delicious brunch with my aforementioned pal, David Permut<\/strong>, who produced the Oscar-nominated film, Hacksaw Ridge<\/em>. 2\/25\/17 Viola Davis <\/strong>and Anthony Anderson<\/strong>, though not together, (so let\u2019s not start any rumors!!!,) at GBK\u2019s Oscars Suite at a private estate in Beverly Hills.
