The highlights of the show for me were wonderful Adele<\/strong> winning so many awards. They were very well-deserved. As primarily a hip-hop chick, I never even listen to her music on purpose, (as so many others do,) although, of course, I hear it everywhere. But she\u2019s so talented, and so beautiful, and so natural, and so humble, that I can’t help<\/em> but root for her!<\/p>\n And I absolutely adore Bruno Mars<\/strong>, so that he and his posse performed twice<\/em> on the show made my night. (Except that I was disappointed that they did not do Mr. X and my favorite song 24K Magic.<\/em> It\u2019s been decades since we shared a fave, so you know how special Bruno’s music is.) He\u2019s the only artist I\u2019m downright desperate to see in concert!!!<\/p>\n I just had to get this pic of the dreadful teeth on the Weezer men in somewhere. They all did it kind-of subtly, (except for the powerful number by A Tribe Called Quest<\/strong> and Busta Rhymes<\/strong>, of course, which was perfect for the occasion.)<\/p>\n I wound-up live-tweeting most of my thoughts on the proceedings, and since I don\u2019t like repeating myself, those bon mots will not appear here today. But\u00a0you can still read my many Grammys tweets on my Twitter page, @MajorCelebrity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n And here are the ones that did not make it into the tweets, for one reason or another, although, I feel, they are equally interesting. Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n So, let\u2019s begin with the arrivals, and the telecast itself will follow.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n ARRIVALS ON E<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n What was Ryan Seacrest<\/strong> wearing?\u00a0 That jacket was the color of vomit! That boy is really in need of a stylist, pronto.<\/p>\n The awful dress. But at least she finally covered those Olive Oyl arms! Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n The rail-thin woman on E looked worse than ever. That dress was awful!<\/p>\n What\u2019s with the Weezer<\/strong> guy\u2019s teeth? Actually, the choppers on two of the guys were disgusting. When you have money, there is absolutely no excuse for bad teeth<\/em>!!!<\/p>\n How is Paris Jackson<\/strong> only nineteen<\/em>?!\u00a0 She looked around forty<\/em> from afar.\u00a0 But her face is as beautiful as I expected it to become, when she was little.\u00a0 What a gorgeous face that is! If I ever have a nose job, I\u2019d ask them to make it look like her natural<\/em> one. And she spoke well,\u00a0and looked good and fashionable.<\/p>\n I hate seeing those stupid naked chests at awards shows, but Cassadee Pope<\/strong>\u2019s dress looked good.<\/p>\n Diplo and his kids, (with a cameo by Ryan Seacrest’s ear.) Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n Diplo<\/strong>\u2019s kids are a tad odd.<\/p>\n I loved Daya<\/strong>\u2019s shoes!<\/p>\n Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong> seems nice, but someone needed to give that girl a hairbrush!<\/p>\n Good for Skylar Grey<\/strong>, whoever she is, for her \u201cprotest\u201d purse. And for looking classy, too.<\/p>\n Who knew 2Chainz<\/strong> is funny?\u00a0 The interviewer exclaimed, “Get out!,” to a comment he had made. And, without skipping a beat, he answered, “I tried to. I was in the car, and I tried to get out.”\u00a0 I love him now!\u00a0 He was a great, glib interview, and even said a sincere \u201cThank you\u201d at the end!!!\u00a0 Love him!<\/p>\n Elle King. Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n I hate to say this, but someone<\/em> has to\u2014Elle King<\/strong>, (whoever she is,) looked just like Miss Piggy, didn\u2019t she??? You all know that I\u2019m right.<\/p>\n James Corden is adorable.\u00a0 I love him!\u00a0 He always brings a smile to all of our faces.<\/p>\n Faith Hill<\/strong> looked great.\u00a0 Duh.\u00a0 When has she not<\/em>?! She just has basic good looks and elegance and honesty, and her attire is never begging for attention. I really appreciate a star like that.<\/p>\n Keith Urban<\/strong> is always so charming, comfortable, and likable.<\/p>\n Mike Posner<\/strong> is such an idiot that I should not even give him the publicity here!\u00a0 He\u2019s ugly and creepy, and thinks he\u2019s so cute, which he is not.<\/p>\n Pentatonix. Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n I really like Pentatonix<\/strong>, but they were the worse-dressed people there!\u00a0 All their pants were too short, one guy\u2019s coat hem was ripped, and their shoes were the worst! And, and I hate to say it, but that two-tone hair color, (which could be that she\u2019s growing it out, but I doubt that\u2019s the case,) on the girl makes her look like she\u2019s homeless. (Or, at least, class<\/em>less.)<\/p>\n Halsey<\/strong>, wearing the most open-chest top ever<\/em>, stated, \u201cI wanted to do something that was really sexy and androgynous.\u201d\u00a0 No, honey–you wanted to do something attention-getting<\/em>! (And, by the way, \u201candrogynous\u201d is basically the opposite of \u201csexy.\u201d It means \u201cno<\/em> gender.\u201d<\/p>\n Katy Perry’s straw “hair.” Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n That horrible mass of straw on Katy Perry<\/strong>\u2019s head has got<\/em> to be a wig.\u00a0 Look at how it was sitting on her forehead.<\/p>\n And her pathetic outfit looks like she couldn\u2019t decide which look to go for.\u00a0 One time, when I was going out in the Hamptons, a pal of mine there thought my dress was too short, so she made me put a long skirt of hers under<\/em> my mini.\u00a0 That\u2019s what Katy Perry\u2019s hideous horror show looked like.\u00a0 And it looked cheaper than dirt, too.<\/p>\n Lady Gaga<\/strong> looked like a complete idiot. It\u2019s so sad that she\u2019s still so desperate for attention. (So, here\u2019s another shout-out to Faith Hill for being the anti<\/em>-Gaga.)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Paris Jackson. (And look at the difference between Paris’ real hairline, and that of what has to be a wig on Katy Perry in the photo above.) Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n GRAMMYS SHOW<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Paris Jackson did really well, especially for someone who\u2019s not used to speaking in public.<\/p>\n I absolutely loved the number from Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That was so rude of the director to pan-up on Twenty One Pilots<\/strong> standing there in their underpants! But I loved the story of why they took their pants off on stage.<\/p>\n Beyonce\u2019s performance could not have been more of a snoozefest.\u00a0 If boring and self-indulgent was what she was going for, she succeeded.<\/p>\n The close-up they did on the nether regions of the Twenty One Pilots dudes! So, sorry for this gap.\u00a0 But, as I mentioned at the top, my tweets are all still up there, so maybe you should go have a look-see now. @MajorCelebrity.]<\/p>\n Gary Clark, Jr.<\/strong> can sure play that stick!!!<\/p>\n That was a tad rude of Rihanna<\/strong> to be talking to a pal, and applying lipstick, facing away from the camera, during the announcement of what she apparently knew would be Beyonce\u2019s win over her.<\/p>\n Alicia Keys. Photo by Karen Salkin.<\/p><\/div>\n I really want to know if Alicia Keys<\/strong> thinks she has good body.\u00a0 She always features it, like she\u2019s unaware of how not<\/em> attractive she looks.\u00a0 I\u2019m a fan of hers, and have always admired her talent, but I always want to know if she thinks she looks as good as her behavior indicates that she does.<\/p>\n And why was Maren Morris<\/strong> wearing that awful outfit with cheap shoes and just a leotard?!\u00a0 Not a good look.<\/p>\n Laverne Cox<\/strong> is the luckiest person in show business. Period.<\/p>\n An idiot from DNCE<\/strong> was drinking as they came on stage to present. How insecure a person is he to need that attention? Unless he\u2019s just an alcoholic, but then he\u2019d be hiding<\/em> the flask, not brandishing<\/em> it.<\/p>\n Jason Derulo. Such a shame.<\/p>\n That was so rude of the director to cut off Adele\u2019s co-writer for song of the year, no matter what, but especially for such a big award!<\/p>\n Why didn\u2019t Solange Knowles<\/strong> get an introduction?!\u00a0 No one even knew who she was!<\/p>\n Jason Derulo<\/strong> must have been sweating-up a storm in that coat\u2026on top of his tux!!!<\/p>\n And those are all the non-tweeted notes I took on this year\u2019s Grammys.<\/p>\n I could not leave this review without featuring a pic of Lady Gaga’s idiocy!
