Someone recently\u00a0asked me if doing this e-zine is a business or a hobby.\u00a0 Hobby???\u00a0 I work an average of eight hours a day on it!\u00a0 And, contrary to what I feel most people who either know me personally or were viewers of my former show, Karen\u2019s Restaurant Revue<\/em>, perceive to be my reality, I don\u2019t just look at the page, and think<\/em> my experiences on to it!\u00a0 Writing three to five columns a week, with no time off ever, takes a lot of work.\u00a0 And first I have live<\/em> the events, (even if it\u2019s watching sports to tell you about,) then ponder\u00a0what I should say about them, and then finally put them down on paper.\u00a0 And then re-write about a dozen times, which is the exact opposite of what I did on my show.\u00a0 On TV, I just, as Johnny Carson so aptly described it, said whatever came into my mind.\u00a0 No re-writes or editing.\u00a0 Just\u2014here it is. So writing is a way different discipline than talking. As hard as people thought that what I did back then–just sitting there, talking (hopefully amusingly) by my lonesome for a half hour, was, writing is actually a much more difficult medium for me.<\/p>\n So, anyway, I\u2019m definitely not complaining.\u00a0 I\u2019m just mentioning how serious this all is to me.<\/p>\n When I was looking for images that defined “1,400 columns,” I came upon this house in Georgia. Look at the address at the bottom!<\/p><\/div>\n I actually don\u2019t enjoy writing<\/em>, per se, but rather I\u2019m happy to inform, and impart information, especially if it\u2019s helpful to someone.\u00a0 So, this is far from a hobby.\u00a0 And since I\u2019m also far from being a business<\/em> woman, the best way I can describe INAM for me is a labor of love.\u00a0 And a gift to those of you who wish to receive it.
