Despite the enticing promo poster for Wicked City<\/em>, (making Ed Westwick look attractive for the first time ever–and I was a Gossip Girl<\/em> fan!,) once I realized that the series was about a murderous couple, I just could not bring myself to watch it.\u00a0 Even for you guys.<\/p>\n So, here are the rest:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n FUN ENOUGH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n OKAY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n![\"Unknown\"](\"http:\/\/itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Unknown-e1446796025916.jpg\")
<\/a> Crazy Ex-Girlfriend<\/strong><\/em> (FOX)–For the first fifteen minutes or so of the pilot, I was hating it. And I’m a major CW watcher! This is what I wrote in real time that night: “She sings very well, and I love the blue-and-pink logo. But I had no idea this is a musical! OMG. I had been thinking that she’s not good-looking enough to carry a show, and she’s actually a bit masculine, but then she sang, and I understood her casting.”\u00a0 Since then I’ve discovered that the lead wasn’t cast–it’s her show!\u00a0 She writes and produces it, and she brought the idea to the powers-that-be for herself; the show didn’t go through the usual channels of it being written and then looking for the star. \u00a0The show all a little strange, in so many areas, but I can’t look away. The girl, Rachel Bloom, is very talented (obviously,) but why does she pop her boobs out constantly? And at first I thought she was brave to show off her chubby body all the time, including letting her Spanx show, but now I think she may think she’s hot, which is erroneous thinking on her part.<\/p>\n![\"Unknowno\"](\"http:\/\/itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Unknowno.jpg\")
<\/a>Supergirl<\/strong> <\/em>(CBS)–This rendition of the girl superhero is cute, but has tons of holes!\u00a0 It’s hard for me to watch shows like that, when I’ve known the real fake story my entire life.\u00a0 I did enjoy the clever castings of Dean Cain (a TV Superman<\/em>) and Helen Slater (the titular Supergirl<\/em> in the 1984 movie) as her adoptive parents.\u00a0 They didn’t say a word in the pilot, but I appreciated it.\u00a0 As entertaining as it all was, the storyline with the bad guys and her sister’s work was pretty confusing, and not worth my brain power.\u00a0 So I’m not going back for more.\u00a0 The show didn’t hold my interest enough for me to use any more of my precious time on it.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Dr. Ken<\/em><\/strong> (ABC)–I always think that Ken Jeong is a riot.\u00a0 And I’m uber-impressed that he’s a real doctor, too!\u00a0 So, I thought that someone was a genius to create a doctor sitcom for him.\u00a0 The trailers had me chomping at the bit to see the show and laugh my butt off.\u00a0 To say it fell flat and was beyond disappointing would be an understatement.\u00a0 I barely got through the pilot on this one, and could not force myself to sit through another half hour of it.\u00a0 Sorry, Hangover<\/em> fans.<\/p>\n![\"2015_0812_TurthBeTold_AboutImage_1920x1080_AC\"](\"http:\/\/itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015_0812_TurthBeTold_AboutImage_1920x1080_AC-300x168.jpg\")
<\/a>Truth Be Told<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 (NBC)–I gave this awful sitcom only one chance, and I had to force myself to do that, after the first dreadfully boring minute.\u00a0 Every single actor on there is trying WAY TOO HARD! (Yeah, like that.)\u00a0 And the writing can’t compensate for that, even if it was good, which it is not.\u00a0 This was a no-brainer to not go back for more.\u00a0 I have a feeling it will be gone-zo almost by the time this review is published.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
