<\/a>But let me tell you, this is true Brooklyn pizza! LaRocco\u2019s is absolute BEST PIZZA IN ALL OF LOS ANGELES! Dot, dash, end of story. This may be the shortest review I\u2019ve ever written because there\u2019s really nothing left to say.<\/p>\nI\u2019ve now eaten this pizza for about two years now, and still can\u2019t get enough of it. I\u2019ve featured it at some of my parties since then, and people have gone nuts over it. During my recent siege with my back, while Mr. X was out of town and my friends had to take care of me, several of them suggested bringing me LaRocco\u2019s pizza, just so they could share it, I think.<\/p>\n
There are a couple of other menu items, too, but LaRocco\u2019s serves mainly pizza, with many different combinations of ingredients. You can order whole pies, or just slices of the eight most popular kinds. Or, take advantage of their special, which isn\u2019t on the menu, and pick-out eight different <\/em>slices to make up a whole pie.<\/p>\n To me, the only way to know how good any pizza really<\/em> is, is to try the plain cheese one. This one is perfect. Mr. X dubbed it \u201csuperior pizza,\u201d while all my friends said they would come all the way from Hollywood and the valley to have it again!<\/p>\n There are also two salads that are already made-up each day to grab and go, (garden and Greek) and we found them both to be quite good, especially paired with the fabulous garlic knots and marinara dipping sauce.<\/p>\n Eadie, who\u2019s not much of a pizza-eater, went to town on the gigantic mozzarella calzone and \u201cone of the best meatball sandwiches\u201d she\u2019s ever had! They offer a chicken parmesan sandwich, as well, and a cold salami and provolone, with dressing you put on fresh, so it doesn\u2019t get soggy. LaRocco\u2019s thinks of everything! (Including carrying beer and wine, which we were too enthralled to even notice at the time.)<\/p>\n As if having delicious food wasn\u2019t enough, the guys who work there, Rodrigo and Jose, make the whole experience pleasant, which is as important to me as the fare. [Note: I don’t know if they’re still there, but everyone who answers the phone is nice, too.] And you have a choice of dining inside or on the patio, very fast take-out, or local delivery. As long as you do whichever one before they run out of dough, because that\u2019s their closing time! (The menu states, \u201cOpen daily 11am to when we run out of dough.\u201d) We Brooklynites always have a sense of humor, don\u2019t we?! Jeanine was most impressed with the vegetarian Paul\u2019s Special, named after the amiable Brooklyn-born owner, while Mr. X said, \u201cfour stars for the Whitestone\u201d (4 out of 4, of course) and \u201cunusually good\u201d for the spinach and tomato. Bronx-reared Eadie stuck with her borough\u2019s namesake and was impressed. No one could tear me away from my cheese slice.<\/p>\n
