HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEK-END 2015<\/h1>\n

This is always a hard holiday to write about.\u00a0 Its purpose is not really to have fun. Rather, it’s to reflect upon, and celebrate, the men and women of our armed forces, especially the ones who have given their lives for this country.\u00a0 I explained it best in this e-zine last year, (which you can still read here: itsnotaboutme.tv\/news\/holiday-memorial-day-2014<\/a>.) I have nothing more profound to say than that.<\/p>\n

If you are having a function, here’s a dessert even I can make!<\/p><\/div>\n

I always feel that we can use Monday, the actual day, to also remember civilian loved ones we’ve lost. After all, “memorial” is the title of the holiday!<\/p>\n

But, it is a three-day week-end, and, if anything, we should be reminded that life is short. So, if you choose to have fun on any or all of it, I say go for it! Just please don’t drink and drive, as many who are usually responsible citizens are especially wont to do on holidays, returning home from barbeques and the like.<\/p>\n

So, all that’s left for me to do here is wish you a safe, peaceful, and relaxing time for this whole holiday week-end.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
