STARMAKERS ORTHODONTICS OPENING<\/h1>\n

This event was so Hollywood–an opening party for a new Beverly Hills orthodontist office! And it was a fun one.<\/p>\n

I first met Dr. Bruce McFarlane at a gifting suite for last year’s Golden Globes, and he told me that he was relocating his practice down here from Canada. He has excellent teeth himself, so I told him to keep in touch.<\/p>\n

And now he’s here. So he invited a bunch of his new neighbors to a soiree at his lovely new office.<\/p>\n

He and his staff greeted everyone, and showed us around. He spent a lot of time with my pal and me, explaining the differences in the various kinds of braces available today. Boy, have they come a long way since my<\/em> teen-age years!<\/p>\n

The catering was done by Bourbon Restaurant chef Kurt Ehrlich, and included an entire room of desserts! I guess the doc is trying to drum-up a bunch of new patients by feeding us all that sugar!<\/p>\n

But it was all delish, especially the grand mariner-apricot-chocolate layer cake. Yum!<\/p>\n

We each left with a goodie bag that included an amenities kit from the next-door Peninsula Hotel, and\u00a0Dr. Bruce’s own “Wine to White” teeth whitening pen, which most of the guests probably needed after drinking all the party wine.<\/p>\n
