SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE<\/em> SEASON 11 FINALE<\/h1>\n

As I tweeted last night, right after the show ended, thank goodness Ricky Ubeda won! Fairness prevailed. And then I was too hysterical crying (with joy and emotion) to write more, except for–You go, boy!<\/p>\n

I came home early from a party, and took a break from watching my precious US Open tennis, (even though it made me get eight hours behind, so I had to stay up overnight to get caught-up,) to watch the So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> season finale, because I was so on edge about who would win.<\/p>\n

Mr. X was, too. All season, he kept saying, “How could Ricky not<\/em> win?!” But so few things in life are really fair, so I worried.<\/p>\n

Not to brag about my prediction abilities, (because absolutely everyone<\/em> who knows anything about dance, at all,\u00a0also knew that Ricky should win,) but the second I saw Ricky Ubeda on the show, I said, “Winner!” And I don’t mean even when I saw his first audition on the show; it was before<\/em> that. On a promo for the show at the top of the season, they showed one second of a guy leaping, along with tons of other little bits like that. From that literally one second leap, I told Mr. X that guy was the winner. So, we kept looking for who the guy would be. And, of course, it turned-out to be Ricky.<\/p>\n

Our love, and admiration, for Ricky never wavered. When he was on-stage, we never even noticed anyone else. That guy is the absolutely most beautiful dancer I’ve ever seen in my whole life. And I’ve seen Baryshnikov, Nureyev, and Danny Tidwell all in person.<\/p>\n

So, major props to Ricky. I hope he’s one winner of this show whom we get to have the privilege to see dance for a zillion years to come!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
