AMERICAN IDOL<\/em>–S. 12 UPDATES<\/h1>\n

American Idol<\/em> is so boring now that I have to do other tasks during it, which is quite a departure for me.<\/p>\n

I usually need complete attention from everyone in the room when I watch these stupid competition shows, and I can’t miss even one eye movement from competitors and judges alike. (You<\/em> know that I<\/em> know that I’m a tad nutty, right?)<\/p>\n

But this season on Idol<\/em>, the performances are generally weak, with no singers to look forward to.<\/p>\n

I realized last night what the show needs: Simon Cowell. We all used to tune-in to hear what nasty yet honest critique he gave. There are no surprises with this panel. All four of them say basically the same thing over and over again. They each ask each contestant how they are. It’s all so uncomfortable. How weak is this panel when Randy Jackson is the best judge?<\/p>\n

This is from the official AI site. Are they trying to tell us that Angie will be eliminated tonight, since they cut her out of the frame?<\/p><\/div>\n

The two reasons to tune-in this year were Curtis Finch and Devin Velez, who are both now gone, even though Candice and Kree are really good, too. As nice as they seem, I just don’t care about them.<\/p>\n

And Ryan Seacrest’s turning into Alex Trebek, who acts like he’s<\/em> the genius who wrote all the questions on Jeopardy<\/em>! Ryan thinks he’s some real<\/em> idol or something. And his eyes have been glassy all season, which usually means someone’s been tippling a little before the show airs.<\/p>\n

And could they waste more of my time with the show padding? We don’t need to see these only slightly<\/em> talented people doing pitiful duets, just because the show has two hours to fill! How about make the show shorter, and just get to the few individual <\/em>numbers, and let us move on with our evenings?<\/p>\n

And the results shows should be just a half hour. They waste all of our time with stupid taped pieces, highlighting their non<\/em>-personalities. And seeing so many pro<\/em> music performances on those shows just shows how bad these contenders<\/em> are.<\/p>\n

Between Mariah’s fake English-accented \u201cDah-ling,\u201d which points out how uncomfortable she is, Nicki rolling her eyes at everything Mariah says, and Keith pulling for only the country girls, I can’t take it.<\/p>\n

And what’s with Nicki’s gross hair? It always looks dirty and not done, and those dark roots are disgusting. Those roots are the reason even poor women make sure to get their color done regularly!<\/p>\n

There’s one positive in all of this–now that the two good guys are gone, I don’t have to waste one more second of my time voting. This is the first season I can do, or not<\/em> do, that.<\/p>\n

Last three random thoughts on Idol<\/em>:<\/p>\n

They keep telling Candice how “amazing” she is. So why was she cut in Vegas last season???<\/p>\n

And they were really stupid last night to have constant strobe lights during Angie’s performance. About two million people have epilepsy, and everyone should know that seizures can be triggered by strobes, and that’s just thoughtless of them to do that.<\/p>\n

Another thing is that numbers are down, in viewers and<\/em> voting. I think that’s because mainly older people watch and vote, and they’re not down with this new app stuff.<\/p>\n

That’s it until I have time to rant again, even though Idol<\/em> is so bad now that I rarely even have the interest to comment on it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
