BMW\/HALF THE SKY MOVEMENT BEAUTY GALA\/GIFTING LOUNGE<\/h1>\n

[Note: I went to ten, count them, ten<\/em>, Oscars Weeks events! Only one was a waste of time, but the other nonet were great, and each was unique. As physically-challenging to me as it all was, it was worth it to have so many wonderful stories to share with you. So, each Oscars Suite and party gets its own column, in the order of my visits to them, (with many of the celebrities being discussed in the next Celeb Sightings one,) because I want you to be able to concentrate on each and every aspect I\u2019m telling you about. I don’t want you to miss even one second of the fun, so please make sure to check all nine days worth of stories to learn about the entirety of the fabulous-ness! This is the third of nine.]<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was thrilled to be invited to this new entry into the pre-awards shows events! Especially because it was sponsored by BMW, which has been my \u201cultimate driving machine\u201d forever!!! (At least for a little bit longer\u2014the new ones are too long for my garage restrictions. Sniff, sniff.)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>It was held at a gorgeous private estate in Benedict Canyon, where they began the day by serving custom-made omelettes. (So, you all know I went hungry for the rest of the day! I just can’t do e-words, in any form, except for chocolate ones!)<\/p>\n

It wasn’t a gifting suite, but a beauty lounge with some items for sale to benefit Half The Sky Mission<\/strong>. It’s a world-wide charity that was created to \u201cput an end to female oppression across the globe, and to give women everywhere the power and the tools to help change the world.\u201d Who wouldn’t be supportive of a group like that?! www.halftheskymovement.org<\/a><\/p>\n

I started with a poolside massage. I think the guy was a tad scared of my broken back because he made mine a quick one, while he gave my friend, and several others I noticed, the royal treatment later on. Every little bit helps keep me going, though, so I was grateful for even a few minutes of relaxation.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Then I moved over to the tennis court where they had set-up the Cosi Fan Tutti <\/strong>manicure station. My nail tech was a woman I met at a previous event, Miss Emma, and she helped me choose a sandy, glittery blue from OPI’s new Mariah Carey Nail Polish collection, which they were launching at this event. (Idiot me didn’t know that the finish was matte and grainy on purpose<\/em>, so I put a top coat on it at home to make it shine. But it changed the unique color, so don’t make the same mistake. And not to be picky, but Mariah never wears fun colors like this!)<\/p>\n

Back at the pool area, Kyle Jones from Billion Dollar Brows<\/strong> in Beverly Hills shaped mine. He was actually happy that I had left them a tad messy for him! He said he likes to work from scratch like that. (I was too relaxed to write, so when I asked his name to laud him here, I added, \u201cAnd please make it an easy one,\u201d because I was going to just have to remember it. Imagine my thrill when, in all honesty, he answered, \u201cJones.\u201d)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I finally moved into the stunning house for an oxygen facial from April White of AI Spa<\/strong>. (See the same note as above for the last name reveal.) It was easy, quick, and didn’t disturb my bronzer. How fun.<\/p>\n

Every attendee left with a gift bag that included fun girlie stuff like nail polish, mascara, and a classy neck scarf. (The scarves<\/em> are classy; I can’t vouch for anyone’s neck but mine!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
