Great review! I was at both the rehearsal and the Saturday evening show, and I can attest to the fact it was a lot of fun with a wonderful audience reaction. Johnny Weir was my favorite, but I enjoyed the other skaters as well!

I knew there were some skating celebs there, but I hadn't heard until now Tom Collins was there! Sure do miss his COI tour! I can guess who the 'sourpuss' was, but can't help wondering why he bothered coming if he was going to sit there like a bump on a log...

Wasn't that just a fab show? One of the most fun and most lively out of all the shows I've been to see over the past 50 years or so. Your review is great.

Loved Yuna:-) But, seeing Michelle skate again, and in such fine and beautiful form was the best. Give Yuna a few years to mature in her skating, and I think she will outshine Michelle.

Johnny is my Nureyev on Ice. Yes, it is true. I am old enough to have been able to see Rudy dance, several times. For years I been struck by Johnny's gorgeous and strong balletic style. There is simply no other male skater with his skill in that style. But, it wasn't until he came forth with "Heartbroken", in N.Y. a few months ago, that his similarity to Nureyev really hit me. It is that amazing combination of the feminine within in him given form through his masculine strength, and his ability, as an artist who moves, to allow his body to become the instrument through which the music is given form that is so reminiscent of the great Nureyev.

I was thrilled to be able to see Stephane live. He is my second favorite male skater. He had a good many of his fans in the audience. Plus many of us who love, love Johnny also like Stephane and do follow his skating. So, we joined his fans in jumping up to give him an ovation.

Tanith & Ben, and Shen Xue & Zhao Hongbo also made the show so wonderful for me.

Brian had a scheduling conflict with a competition I believe.

BTW, this show will be broadcast on NBC affiliates this Sunday, 10/10, during the morningish hours.
