Hey Karen,
I understand your dilemma! I taught online for 18 months (the Amercian Academy of Dramatic Arts) movement and dance for actors. Our guest room became my classroom. Now, we are in person on campus!! Thank the stars!! I can’t express in words the enormous felling of joy at being back on campus in Hollywood! Everyone on campus is required to be vaccinated AND IS , masks are mandatory and there are multiple precautions taken. It’s challenging and was scary at first but there is complete trust in the vaccine and my health. I’m an avid vegan, no caffeine, little to no alcohol, no smoking and I boost my immune system with supplements and lots of rest. Most importantly is my state of mind. Lots of positive thoughts and mediation. As you know I always exercise and teach movement and dance 6 hours a day, plus walking many miles per week with my dogs when not at work. I wear my mask when it is necessary. So that’s my story. My heart aches for many friends who have become ill and for those who’s lives are lost. In closing, my mind is blown by those who refuse to get vaccinated and not wear masks. The stupidity and selfishness is beyond my comprehension. I hope to see you out and about again. We miss you.

I’m happy to hear I’m not the only one who’s still concerned. Thanks for that.

I can’t get the booster until Dec. 1, and I don’t want to make false claims to get it earlier. (Mr. X and I got the first two doses later than many others I know, because we couldn’t get appointments, so we weren’t done until April 1! Of course.) But I’ll worry until then.

I attended an outdoor birthday party yesterday. Not a mask in sight. I carried mine. Didn’t wear it. I received my booster shot on Friday. Feeling happy about that. College football insane. Granddaughters outdoor soccer game I was the only masked one. I’m mostly in the house. I only go to the grocery store. Mask on always. Have been to indoor restaurants. Not many..Covid always in the back of my mind. Only one hand sanitizing after touching menus etc. I keep it on the table. I have been having lunch once a month with 3 fully vaccinated friends..people are really just living their lives now. I’m not. It’s very scary..used to eat out every Friday night. Not any more..so yes I’m doing more than a year ago but still very careful and scared. So glad I received booster.
