We chose the comment of Chiyoko Minato because we deemed it heartfelt and honest with a touch of humor. And because he or she (sorry, but we can’t tell from the first name,) followed me from my show to INAM, which I really appreciate!

But our judging panel enjoyed ALL the comments we received, especially the funny ones. Some of you should have your own e-zines! Or at least write for sitcoms.

The winner has been notified, and the choice of the earrings should be on the way soon, in time for the holidays. So, enjoy!

Watching you was sort of like having a phone conversation with a girlfriend. This new column is more like having coffee with that girlfriend. I’m a senior citizen but I still like keeping abreast of all the social comings and goings on the Westside. I know I can count on you to give me an honest account of any event and do it with a sense of humor. I encourage seniors, youngsters and everyone in between read your column because I know they’ll get as big a kick out of it as I do.

I just got a question from a reader, wanting to know if there’s a length maximum or minimum. And the answer is: NO–there is not. It’s can be as long or short as you like. This isn’t a college essay question.
